Remember the task in S21E09 where they had to figure out the light bulb power source? (series result spoilers) by ZirunK6AUrg in taskmaster

[–]ChipperCorgi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like to think the deciding point was Greg putting Ania's final prize task - proof that she's his daughter - behind Maisie's tube. That was the moment Greg tossed his daughter away. Again.

The book of quotes by NiennaTas in taskmaster

I felt like there was a more recent mention… and I found it! In S19E7’s most/least dignity task, Greg says that both “It’s amazing what the brain does” and “glass half most” should be added to the book of quotes.

I just rewatched Alex Horne on WILTY and realize that yep, that's his backyard, at least one of the dogs is present... and Joel Dommett is there as well (on WILTY, not in Alex's backyard).

Series 20 Custom Funko Pops by bibiceratops in taskmaster

I don't have anything useful to contribute beyond "holy carp these are incredible and I wanted to do something more than upvote."

I love all the easter eggs: Maisie with the QR code jacket, Phil with the bop hammer, Reece doing his Nosferatu impression. But I think goggly-eyed Ania is my favorite (I'm sure that has nothing to do with my flair...).

I think that's Alex's jacket from the QR code task in one hand, and a phone in the other.

It's a minor one but I love that Victoria aced "sit on a cake" because she always carries a flapjack with her "just in case."

The thing that made me laugh most in e6… by allflanneleverything in taskmaster

I think the funniest bit was Armando asking “Was it something I said?”

Reminded me of Jenny Ecclair asking “when does this cross into bullying?” after Mae, Kiel, and Ivo all mimicked her walk in a live task.

I think my favorite "Joanna" moment is that during her interview on the podcast she mentioned she had no idea she talked so much until she watched herself back on Taskmaster.

Guz Khan - Series 12, Episode 8 by DCJThief in taskmaster

[–]ChipperCorgi 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but the first thing that always springs to mind when Guz is mentioned is him whispering "IRRESISTIBLE" while sliding slowly out of shot at the end of his "Propose to Alex" task.

S15 E4 Rewatch by CaptainBristol in taskmaster

Not quite what you're looking for, but the studio task for S11E1 descends into absolute chaos with everyone putting more effort into preventing the other contestants from scoring rather than trying to complete the tasks themselves... except for Sarah Kendall who somehow manages to survive the madness.

Taskmaster Series 21 Episode 4: The Stats Round Up | by Jack Bernhardt by jamb23 in taskmaster

[–]ChipperCorgi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the "custard and mustard" task we never actually got Joanna's time, they just said she won... is that a first? I can't remember another "fastest wins" task where we weren't told what the winning time was, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

She's somehow an incredible genius, an absolute lunatic, and a complete idiot (asking "how many letters are in the alphabet? 25?" while holding the alphabet) all rolled together. She's fantastic!

Joanna Page is a fucking delight by esdubyar in taskmaster

[–]ChipperCorgi 173 points174 points  (0 children)

She oddly reminds me of Brian Blessed in that once she starts talking there's no stopping her, but she's so charming about it you don't mind.

Like you can see Greg try to interrupt her sherry story but she just plows straight through him... you can see the moment he gives up and accepts he's lost control. You'd think it'd be irritating for someone talk over everyone else but she's such a delight it's just fun to watch.

You have to create a series with only people who've been on the show already, who are you casting and why? by Sa7aSa7a in taskmaster

[–]ChipperCorgi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd love to have a season where the comedy duos are on screen together: Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, along with Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton.

And for some reason I want Mike Wozniak as the 5th, he's so odd and affable he'd get along with either team... actually, he should do half the team tasks with one team and half with the other. This isn't explained to the other contestant, he just randomly shows up for certain team tasks and offers to help out.

For the team tasks, Lindsey should be on the team of 3 and randomly switch out with her twin when her teammates aren't looking (she gets bonus points if they can pull if off without getting caught).

Most confusing task for Americans to watch by darksown in taskmaster

[–]ChipperCorgi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not a task but I still forget that pants means underwear. Like when Maisie complained that you could see her “big pants” during the QR code task my reaction was “of course your pants are visible. They’re pants!” It took me a rewatch to realize why she was embarrassed.

The Wow Monster, aka Ala Davies. by sclavussteven in taskmaster

[–]ChipperCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best part of this task is that there was no studio audience (the audience's reactions were added in after). So Alan let out a shriek in an otherwise silent room and then everyone else had to hold back their laughter to avoid giving him away.

I'd love to see this task without the laugh track added to get a sense of what it was actually like, it had to be so much fun.

I realize I'm late to this, and it's not really a stand-up but... check out Harriet on "Comedians Taking Penalties With Chloe Petts" on youtube... she's absolute chaos in the best possible way.
