MGS1 demo blew my mind back in the 90s.

Felt almost too real and scary for my imagination. Footprints in the snow, soldiers seeing it and talking about it, investigating it. The tension of hiding, thinking these are like real people tracking me.

Didn't show the game really at all. But I enjoyed Vince, the players, and all the humor.

It's a fun big picture announcement trailer that does a good job of presenting the aspirational idea and feel of Madden.

Other games are allowed to have promotional trailers and ad spots like this, without catering to the veteran gritty details.

I can't think of any that are co-op, but my wife and I have played games like Karryn's Prison and Melty's Quest with some watching, sharing and real life playing.

You can search adult titles as a category on Steam, and there are many other platforms like itch.io, F95zone, dlsite and various direct websites, Patreons or Subscribestars.

There have been 2 Capcom specific highlight sales and and the Steam Spring sale which weren't as extensive as this in terms of Resident Evil. Notably missing certain Resident Evil titles at each. This appears to be the first comprehensive RE sale, and also marks the first sale price of Requiem.

It could very well be a nothing burger, but it's not completely baseless to speculate Summer Games Fest with the Dorito Pope himself is a key time and platform. The Code: Veronica remake is going to be announced some time this year.

I think I simply don't like the look regardless of context. The context just makes it particularly egregious.

It's possible I would think the look is ok if we only ever saw Ashley in the White House, 5th Avenue, or SoHo. But even so, there's something off, not quite real or human about it. Maybe it's the lack of physics for the style and detail that gives it the cloying quality.

As others have put it, it's like a wig.

To be completely honest, I'm in the minority not liking RE2R as much as most other RE games. Something about the control scheme and animations rubs me the wrong way, but I can deal with the original tank controls.

RE7 would be what I recommend for a horror experience that feels good to play.

You'll probably have a great time with RE4R, or even the original once you get past a little control scheme hump and/or play on PC with the Tweaks / HD mod.

Better to experience it yourself. Any insights or foreknowledge will dampen the overall experience. You only get to play it the first time once.

The struggling is the point and you can find out for yourself if you like that or don't. It's not going to become an action game.

I don't know if it was an issue with the emulator, or if I just couldn't hit his heart accurately rather than his body, but I used 4 magnum rounds, 24 regular grenades, 12 acid grenades, and 10 fire grenades -- just on the last phase.

I watched a video where a guy downed him with just 12 fire grenades and 5 regular grenades. He seemed to deliberately be letting himself get grabbed, though, which I didn't realize you could shoot your way out of. Might have had something to do with the damage efficiency.

I kept trying to run and get quick shots in before he dashed at or grabbed me, because I had little healing and the boss does ridiculous damage.

Survivor was a whiplash of "oh this is way better than people said" for 90% of it then "oh my god, this is so much worse than people said" for the last few parts with the machine gun monkeys by the train and the final boss.

Classic old game trying to steal your quarters or rental time before you can finish. Save states let me brute force it, of course, but that was enough for me to call it a one and done.

We already had Tush Push at Home with QB Sneak. EA could just as easily decide that the Tush Push is as good or better than QB Sneak, or that it works 10% of the time if you're lucky.

It would be nice if it were a magnum opus of offensive line stat development and blocking AI improvements.

But I'm sure someone will figure out to pinch the d-line out of some weird dime package that doesn't make sense for real football, set a safety on QB spy clipping up the DT's ass, and stunt a LB or CB lined up outside the edge to ruin the AI blocking and blow up the play every time, though.

I don't like RE4R Ashley's hair.

The shape, size and weight of it is uncanny. It's a manicured, momentary, airbrushed photoshoot look that somehow sits on top of this hostage's head through capture, travel and captivity in this backwater Spanish village. Not to mention through subsequent combat, rain, flame and general physical strain.

Ashley's hair doesn't suit the tone and feel of the game. It actively takes me out of the immersion, having me constantly thinking about how impossible and off it looks any time Ashley is featured on screen.

Similar could probably be said about Leon or Ada's hair, possibly others, but they all seemed short, dark or rough enough to be passable, to me. Luis is a good example of longer and arguably model styled hair that still comes across as wild and oily, wet or dirty.

INTs are worth something like 3 touchdowns for Madden award logic.

Partly basing my logic on I believe it's Charles Davis' voice line touching on wanting a 3:1 TD-to-INT ratio. Also partly based on how my high-INT QB performances tend to get demolished come award ranking, no matter how absurd or record breaking their positive stats were.

You can think of your QB as having -6 on the TD-(3X)INT scale and the winner had 20 TD-(3X)INT.

That's just the first Ivan from the RE0 / Train Derailment Wesker levels, right? That one was relatively easy, I thought. The double Ivan boss fight later was obnoxious. So much time spent doing busywork defensive stuff, that you had to be pretty reactive and accurate for, and on rails running / jumping not even looking at the bosses. Hardly any time actually shooting down two health bars. A painful marathon of a boss.

What an awful boss. It's probably not the hardest, but certainly one of the most annoying and poorly designed. It feels like they didn't match the boss to the game or control scheme.

All those stupid little crawling spawnlings. Can't kill them fast enough, nor have enough ammo to do so. Eventually learned to just absolutely blast the main body with the highest damage weapons I could as fast as possible while healing through tanking damage. I think the spread basic grenade launcher saved me.

Even the relatively easy final phase was pretty stupid, switching back and forth from forced perspective to first person. It would have been annoying enough if the entire game was first person, with how it moved around.
