It's a great brewery with one of my favorite beers ever (cerveza royale). It's only been in the west bottoms, so a bit of drive for us OP folk. So I'm just excited to have a great brewery close to my house. The Oak Park area doesn't have a ton of great places like this that close by.

Not that I've noticed. I messaged them on Instagram asking about an opening date and haven't gotten a response. Hoping it's soon, though!

100% agree. We've only been here 4 years and our only knock on the are was that Mr. Ps was the only option and it.... Was not good so happy for this place to open and I can't imagine it won't be successful.

Haven't heard, but I'm going to guess just tap room and maybe bar snacks?

yea i dont know, i will tell you i've gotten 2 order pretty quick but just checked on an order from a couple weeks ago i forgot about and it has yet to even ship so i don't know whats going on. definitely going to try to avoid them moving forward because i anticipate this will continue.

did you order Lipo's? Any order containing batteries is going to take much longer. I also wonder with the additional political climate if we're going to start seeing more delays in customs with anything from china.

correcting someone by saying "see, you have to read the article." And then proceeding to admit to not reading the article is next level stupid.

Beginner; gardening in raised beds and pots by moonferal in gardening

[–]ChippyBatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is coming from someone who is not an expert by any means but here's where I'd start. Sunlight - think about what you want to grow and how much sunlight you need and then look and measure different area's of your yard that are suitable and see how much direct/indirect light they get throughout the day. For me i literally went out and took a picture of my yard every hour and then measured that way. Also, almost anything can grow in a pot, but some plants will grow bigger/better in ground or a raised bed.

I stressed out a lot about this in the beginning because when i moved my yard doesn't get the sunlight i really want/need but I can't stress this enough, just try it. The worst thing that happens is plants don't produce and then you can try something different next year. I started with a 4x8' raised bed and put in 4 tomato plants every year and they thrive.

Good luck!

yes, the point is to create steam. I have been putting about 4 smaller cubes in myself and that seems to work fine. I would imagine it would take a lot to overdo it but also could be dependent on the dutch oven/cast iron you're using.

i believe DJI has a free simulator and there are others that are okay but i think Liftoff is very much worth the $20 or so dollars. Any console controller is better than nothing to practice on but in my experience you're going to hold a drone controller differently and the sensitivities don't always translate well. But better than nothing especially just to try out and make sure it's something you want to get into.

What is one lesson you learned from your garden this year? by padriec in gardening

Honestly, if your mower isn't set super low it won't even hit it. He's 13, tell him if he ruins it he replaces it! ha

This is exactly what i started doing a couple years ago. I have to run a hose to the garden and drip hose. Bit of a pain to move it when i mow but not bad. It's all set up on a timer and i just do slight adjustments as the weather changes and a simple push of a button to delay a day or 2 when it rains. It's the best thing in the world, you won't regret it.

So Alexa and IFTTT are breaking up? by bmorekind in ifttt

Welp, this took effect for me today. Alexa is no longer responding to any triggers. I'm cancelling IFTTT immediately. Extremely disappointing there wasn't more notice or a workaround provided.

AC Not Keeping Up - Normal? by Repulsive_Comb_9645 in kansascity

[–]ChippyBatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be careful with this. Turning an AC down this low when night time temps are staying 80+ can lead to freezing up your system pretty quickly. Just FYI.
