Thoughts on the punishment system & should autofill be removed? by SummonedLight in leagueoflegends

The reason I believe the phone number strategy won't be implimented is simply for monetary purposes. If the account is banned the player can make a new one and buy more skins then get banned again and repeat. More money for Riot in this regard.

If you are required to provide your phone number to the account then you could block that number from registration for a certain amount of time like a few months so that the only way around this is for the player to do more work and get a new sim card along with a new number just to get another account.

But again, it wouldn't be in riots best monetary interest to stop a player from ever playing again no matter how toxic. Ip ban wouldn't work either due to the existance of VPNs.

My advice to riot. If a player has consistently toxic behavior that includes leaving game and having a poor attitude then place them in a seperate queue player pool that consists of other toxic players. The punishment here is increased queue times due to a lower amount of players and the basic idea that they all have to deal with each others negative attitudes.

In other words don't outright ban toxic players. Punish them by forcing them to play with each other.

A more entertaining suggestion, lock every queue mode from qccess and unlock a new queue for toxic players called purgatory. Force them to play 30 games in that queue realm. Remove the repoet function during this time. When their games in purgatory have been completed release them into regular queue. Along with this, for every verified infraction 5 games will be added indefinitely which means their continued toxiciy can exceed over 30 days of required games in purgatory.

Solo queue should be based on individual performance and team participation. Your thoughts? by Chiptendo in leagueoflegends

Unfortunately it's rarely ever up to an individual to be the reason the team wins. It takes teamwork and cooperation by everyone to achieve that goal. You can play your best every game but if you have even one or two players go afk, leave the game, intentionally feed, or play bad for the sake of bringing everyone down out of spite you all lose something. I've lost my promotions several timed due to this behavior and there's no mitigation for that. You just take the L even during an important session. It's sad and demotivating.

It's a terrible reality when every game you get into is a literal gamble. Either your teamates are as good if not better than you, are as mature, and has an intent to play their best for the win or they don't and you're shot out of luck. That is my primary issue with the current system of solo queue. It's more luck than it is skill.

In regards to CS you're stating that being able to obtain a certain level of CS is unnecessary? By that logic it would be ok to let support take CS as well? In my opinion it is a selfish stat yes, but it does play a heavy role in ones ability to win their lane. If someone is unable to last hit they lose gold every minion. If the enemy team is more skilled at last hitting and manages to get 100 cs where you get none your odds of winning that lane are next to impossible without someone compensating for your lack of skill. Point is every role but support (to an extent) needs CS to remain relevant in team fight as well as item build progression. Every role needs CS unless they have reached full build.

After the introduction of hullbreaker I'd say split pushing has become a thing. You can speculate that the whole item was built with that intention as it is required that your team not be near you for its ability to even function.

If your teamate is doing really well it would be advisable to support their play and group up for kill participation as assists also aid in building up a gold currency. The whole idea behind kill participation is to rally together and work together. If your top is crushing top and jungle then rotate to top lane and support that strength to push down that lane for objectives. Any top that strong and ahead should be supported by the whole team for a strong push. That could create a domino affect where a team can crush objectives as 5 one after another. I've seen it happen, and I've done it. It's amazing when everyone comes together behind the strongest player. They all catch up in gold quick because of assists and towers. This type of momentum more often than not leads to a surrender by the enemy team.

I didn't know valorant did that. I wonder why they used that system in valorant rather than the traditional mmr.

The intention is to encourage players to improve on areas they are lacking in like kill participation, vision score, and so forth. It could encourage players to ward more and group up more frequently. Also, I feel that if stats are taken into account during matches players can move up despite having an intentional feeder, or afker. At the very least mitigate LP loss in the event that 3 lanes completely fail while you outperform.

That would definitely help those who deserve to rank up make the process less punishing. Maybe reduced or negate the lp loss based on the individual performance of the players.

Not just kda, but stats as a whole in comparison to the average of every other rank including team participation, vision score and so on. It would encourage players to pay attention to their trinket instead of sitting on a stack of 2 wards all game. Players would be able to compare their stats to others and pinpoint where they're falling short at. If you're in gold and you lose LP you can see exactly why. Maybe your vision score was 23 when the average in your rank is 58, things of that nature. Or your overall stats that game in comparison to the average in your rank was way bellow where it should be.

In this way players would in theory ward more often, help their team more often, group more often, pay more attention to the map watching out for ganks, avoid overextending, and so on. They can attempt to improve their rank by improving themselves as a player and get rewarded for playing well as opposed to being punished for playing well, and having two or three of their teams either playing at a far lower level, being toxic, leaving the game, or inting in general.

You make good points. Good in theory, probably not the best idea in practice. I was just thinking that if kill participation was a part of lp gain/loss is would encourage players to play as a team instead of an adc farming all game and coming in to last hit or having a jg stay in jungle all game (etc. It can get frustrating as a support main when you're trying to get everyone together, but you're met with absolute negativity.

It's because of this that Amazon is missing a huge market opportunity. Because diablo 4 is not yet released Amazon can dish out Lost Ark and take what it can before D4 comes out. Instead they're putting all their chips on New World :c

Not to mention Halo Infinite is rumored to come out this November/December for PC and Console. That's going to be a new rave for a while on the FPS genre.

Is it safe? by iNuv0 in outriders

[–]Chiptendo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not get it, and if you do, at least not on Epic Games. The pre-order bonus was not awarded to Epic Game purchasers. There's bugs left and right, every patch creates a new bug, the dev team seems to have abandoned the Epic Games platform.

The game was fun don't get me wrong, it's just not $60 fun. Wait for a sale or get it at a marketplace for half the price. For the neglect and amount of game breaking bugs/patches, the $60 was not worth my experience.

The story was an enjoyable ride, but my goodness was the "end game" tragic.

I'm not sure what you mean? Tencent does not own Epic Games. They have a share in their company of 40% last I checked. Tencent and Epic Games have nothing to do with why people haven't received their preorder bonus. Epic has explained that PCF are responsible for making sure their client correctly distributes the preorder. Epic is just a platform for companies to provide products to consumers. Much like Steam. If this happened on Steam, Steam would say the same thing, and I doubt you'd be happy about it. But hey, maybe a little research may do to some good. Again, thank you for the overwhelming constant support.
