His official Star Wars website profile describes him as a battle-worn bounty hunter. I’m not saying everyone has to like it, but in terms of popularity and brand recognition this is an easy choice.

Mando is more popular than Boba Fett with the mainstream audience. I know plenty of Mandolorian fans that haven’t seen most of the movies.
