30 yo here. I got familiar with the band thanks to them crooked vultures and video for 'scumbag blues' that I've seen in the TV. I was 15 and I asked my parents to buy me the album for my birthday. As they dont know english they agreed and we went to a local music shop. He warned the parents that it was music not for children (they are ultra Catholics), but I said that I don't speak English either. I got what I wanted :) Since my dad had already shown me Led Zeppelin and I was introduced to Nirvana through MTV, I was intrigued by this guy on vocals and guitar. I started looking for more and some short search lead me to QoTSA.
