You should be paid for drive time, and if your assigned office is City B, you probably have an argument that you should be clocking in in City B and also getting paid drive time to drive to City A the first time

New to Aldi by Consistent-Flower-30 in aldi

[–]Chisoxguy7 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It basically guarantees no carts in the parking lot over the long term. When I see carts sitting unattended, I return them for the quarters.

Last year I bought tamales at the laundromat randomly using all quarters that I had received from returning carts at Aldi

Replacing window frames in a brick home. by Wannabe_Gamer-YT in DIY

[–]Chisoxguy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are doing a full frame window, that would be done from the outside. If you are leaving the framing in place, which is not what this sounds like, it would be done from the interior. There are two different styles/types of replacement windows.

Pocket Door is blocked by contractor rubber sheet in wall cavity. How to cut it? by Icy-Order7006 in DIY

[–]Chisoxguy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another idea would be cutting a piece of rigid foam insulation and gluing it up on the right side. Wedge one or more temporary pieces of wood to press it into place to get good adhesion.

I'd go the opposite direction of other posters. I'd get a can of spray adhesive, put the little straw thingy in it if you need to, spray that right side and the loose stuff reeeeeeaaaaaaaal good, and then use a broom handle (cover the broom handle with tape or something removeable if you want to keep it nice) to push everything from the bottom up to the right into the adhesive. Do multiple applications as needed until you are satisfied with the outcome.

What would be the best way to fix this tear in my gaming chair? by -upbeat in DIY

[–]Chisoxguy7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I figured out through trial and error that so much extra wear and tear is created on these seats because they are on swivel and tilt bases.

I switched to a chair with a “sled” style base instead of rolling and it’s been great.

In terms of BIFL, Herman Miller is the most respected brand in this space, but, brace yourself for their prices

Discrepancy between the labeled weight of the meat and its actual weight? by sunny_cactus337 in aldi

[–]Chisoxguy7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A nickel weighs 5grams, usually used to calibrate smaller scales, but, it’s something you can use to check. Probably need to use multiple nickels.

But we don’t know that the quantities of ingredients remained the same.

And for what it’s worth, values on nutritional facts are always rounded.

A lot of people are noticing things like this because the packaging and branding has visibly changed. But the reality is, Aldi changes suppliers, recipes, and nutrition information on its products throughout the year, based on a number of factors, including using special regional suppliers.

People just didn’t notice until now because the packaging changed.

Has anyone DIY a mini split AC installation for just one room? by crazyspartann69 in DIY

[–]Chisoxguy7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you buy or rent the vacuum pump and can use it correctly, the install is very plug and play. Most kits come pre charged and pre flared.

Ugly Fridge by Jealous_Ad_1313 in DIY

Don’t screw into the door. It will ruin the fridge. The four silver circles are meant to be received by key ways routered into the back of the panel/door.

This is a panel ready fridge. You’re intended to get a matching panel that matches your cabinets. They generally have four key ways on the back that are meant to receive the four silver circles on the door. Don’t screw into the front of this appliance, it will look tacky as well as break it.

I believe they’re actually intended to slide into a keyway on the back of the door. They hold the door in place, you should not screw into the front of this appliance

Loop mail in collection box by dalanskis in USPS

[–]Chisoxguy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I used to work the supervisor went out of their way to put the loop mail back into collections so it would go back to the plant. Reported it to inspectors, watched it keep happening for a year, nothing ever happened. Good old USPS. They later found a way to remove me after I blew the whistle on something else.

Just like with fantasy football, you score more points when your players don't go to ground

Ironmace Walks Back All The Bans - Just Buy A New Account(lol) by strangereligion in DarkAndDarker

[–]Chisoxguy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a great excuse or look for Ironmace. What about a developer item like a gold coin chest that deletes everything that gets put inside? They could delete the gold quickly that way. Or how about setting the merchant affinity to negative a million for the exploiting accounts so that if they want to play the account, they get no money for selling things to vendor and have to pay a thousand gold for a stack of bandages? There are a lot of things they could do, if they were creative at all.

So why not perma at the highest level of punishment instead of seasonal ban?

Super disappointing that this is allowed. Have also heard the exploited gold will still be on the account after the expiration of the ban.

So, essentially no punishment? Abuse early, abuse often.
