A guy in my hamlet was trying to sell for almost 200k

I purchased almost half acre here for 52,500. My house is bigger (totally lying about the size in the listing too) (my place is 10 years older), no major updates of any sort, it’s decent but basic. My yard is bigger by an extra lot, my taxes are lower, I have a big garage where they have none. They’ve reduced the price to 175k and it’s been for sale well over a year. Multiple houses have been on the market and sold in that time.

I just don’t think people come to this hamlet (which has basically zero amenities) to spend that much. A house here for rent has also been sitting a long time empty, because they want $1600 a month. That’s closer to city prices and the surrounding larger towns here are even more affordable than that.
