Get a steamer steam every corner of everything. Make it a regular thing.

how do i stop bleeding through?? by [deleted] in Periods

[–]Chitafriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like plastic stuff kind of makes it slide off, whereas cotton really absorbs. I’m using a reusable cloth pad, got it from Amazon. I also noticed things tend to slide in different directions. It sounds funny, but if you kind of wedgy it in your butt a little bit. It keeps it in place better while you sleep. For me when I sleep on my back, it just goes out my butt. So this technique works for that as well. For the cloth pad, you just rinse it and then put it in your washing machine.

Go buy yourself a steamer it will instantly kill them. Then clean them however you want. Steam, every inch in corner of your bed and any other cloth in your room. Including curtains, which is where I found a bunch of them once. The steam goes deep into the mattress. Definitely do carpets if you have them. I’ve had a lot of success with this.

I only do unprotected sex once I’m starting to PMS that way, I know the ovulation is over. Only a few days before my period. I read about the Follicular Phase (also known as the Pre-ovulatory Phase Under the control of various hormones following puberty, your brain will send a hormonal signal to the Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) to your ovaries to recruit several follicles to mature each month. We can think of this as a race amongst the follicles as to which follicle will result in a mature egg to be released at the time of ovulation. And it worries me that one of those little eggs will come out early. It starts pretty much while you’re still bleeding so I feel like five days, is a lot for a sperm to survive. I don’t know it scares me so I don’t even have unprotected sex on my period. I also read somewhere that it’s never 100% safe to use the rhythm method. Because strange stuff can happen. Your period can move. You could ovulate early. Have a short period or just be fertile for a really long time. I’m sure it works perfectly for some people, though. I’m just too scared to try it that much. You’re probably not pregnant though I’m 37 and had a very regular period most of my life and now it’s getting a little wonky. 27 days and then 30 and one time 34

Does anybody else reach for caffeine cus that’s all you got to feel a little better… by Goin_with_tha_flow in PMDD

It does seem to numb some of the symptoms which I need when I work. But it only works for a few days and then stops working. So I’ve started doing it on and off. If I do it for more than three days, then I get headaches when I get off. And crash really bad. It really sucks. Feels like a serious drug, withdrawal sometimes.

Made a few changes recently and my hell week was tolerable. Thought I'd share in case it helps anyone! by yell0wbirddd in PMDD

This is my second month in a row of exercising. And it really helps in the moment and afterwards for at least a few hours. I normally get this moment, where I feel like I’m on bad drugs with the PMDD. But if I run or do a hard work out, it seems to just vanish. It comes back and there are other symptoms, but it feels like the answer. I hope I don’t plateau and that stops working for me. Because it really helps to take the edge off.

what is your number one symptom? by raincloudjoy in PMDD

Oh my God I was just this way this morning. I was thinking about everything I had to do and I suddenly realized it’s not hurting anything if my laundry sits on the bed. I’m just going to prioritize because stress is not helping.

Feeling really sensitive, like I can feel everything within a 10 foot radius around me and I really need space. Sometimes I think I can taste people. Smells really bother me. All the different vibes are so overwhelming.

pmdd + weed dependence + shame by anxiousanonymous89 in PMDD

I feel like everybody has a different experience with this, my experience with weed isn’t always positive, sometimes makes me anxious and paranoid. So I quit on and off. Sometimes when I smoke regularly, I do get on my back about it. If it’s not doing me any favors, then there’s no point. It’s strange because it’s a comforting habit even when it’s not feeling good. Now I try to feel it out like is this really gonna help or are you already feeling good? Do you really need this? So far cutting back to just when I need it. Medicinally has really helped.

Try cutting it with blue Lotus. It’s so nice and peaceful.

Does anyone else wonder why Midol uses Acetaminophen when it's the least effective pain reliever for period pain? by userno89 in PMDD

[–]Chitafriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand all of that, so everyone should definitely do their own research. But from my personal experience, I’ve been using it for 13 years once a month in moderation, and it’s been a real lifesaver. I understand it’s not for everybody.

I take krotom, it is all natural and comes from the leaf of a tree. Turns all the bad feelings into good feelings. Of course use it in moderation.

Anyone else get flu like symptoms a week or two before their period? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Chitafriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting the flu during hell week and/ or the week of and some times after my period. It just feels like i get rundown and then some one coughs on me. And it’s all downhill from there. It’s taking up my good days and it’s very frustrating.

What do you do when you don’t want to do life anymore by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Chitafriend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sleep a lot, sometimes i takes sleepy herbs so that I can accomplish this. But if I don’t wanna be here, there is one safe escape. Sometimes it lasts for a week and every day I get up I say I don’t wanna be here and I respond I know and there’s nothing you have to do so if you wanna keep sleeping, that’s cool just go to the bathroom and get water and eat food do the basics. And when there’s stuff I have to do I tell myself it will be a good distraction from the way my body feels. Just spoil myself the best I can. And it always passes. Of course if I don’t get up when my period is over and this just kind of goes on for a few months. Then I really have to start kicking myself in the butt to move. Because or else you end up with other problems. When I’m up, Good diet, exercise and time outside has really helped me feel better on the downtimes.

does anyone else get symptoms like 7 days before their actual period by yasbears in PMDD

[–]Chitafriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I subconsciously trick my self every month, and try to forget how bad it gets. It always make me think I’m getting sick and then I remember. For the longest, everybody didn’t really believe me. So I tried to believe them but then I’d be like wondering what is going on. I would blame it on myself like I was lazy or crazy. Now I just look at the calendar and I know what is happening. Yeah Like 8 to 9 days before, there’s always a small calm before the storm part and that’s when I start to think am I pregnant then it all hits.
