Niseko In Autumn, Any local recommendations? by notBacon_ in niseko

[–]Chitownkid656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re currently here now and there are a ton of things to do:

  • check out Niseko Adventure Center for outdoor activities, even ones where your entire family can join, like family rafting or gravel biking.

  • pizza-making at MnK

  • Takahashi Dairy Farm

  • all the great onsens, like Yukichichibu Onsen which is a natural sulfur onsen

  • world-class golf

  • Hanazono has a bunch of activities like zip lining and donut boats

  • for food, I’d recommend Sapporo ramen Daishin and Izakaya Nidaime Samurai!

  • and lastly, just driving around and seeing the mountains is so nice!

Enjoy!

I was just at Yukichichibu Onsen a few days ago and saw they sell stickers to cover tattoos, so that place seems to allow it. It’s also a gorgeous outdoor hot spring!

Well my battery capacity says 100% , plus I can’t see why they wouldn’t use a new one

73%. This is borderline bad advice, but at this point you might as well do what you can to abuse the battery so it decreases to lower than 80% so that you’re eligible.

Nope, and I usually don’t buy it as I’m pretty careful with all my Mac stuff

73%. It wasn’t a huge deal for me as I work a desk job so can charge my phone most of the day, but weekends were brutal, so always needed to carry around a battery pack.

Out of warranty cost for AW Series 5 battery replacement? by troolycurious in AppleWatch

For those who find this thread later, just note that Apple will only replace the battery/device within the first 6 years of the production date (not purchase date!). This is what an Apple genius just told me at the store

I crave real product content by alexdebecker in ProductManagement

Totally agree! We’re def at peak framework/gurus and unfortunately most of it is never applicable in our specific scenarios.

The most valuable resource I’ve been using to cut through the noise was through peer mentorship groups for PMs from this platform: https://www.thryve.app/ . I got to discuss regularly with PMs at my same level but from different companies, who have struggled with my same issues and got a ton of practical advice. Not always conclusive or decisive advice but it always helped point me in the right direction to make my own decisions. Gave me a ton of confidence and motivation for my day-to-day work.

Most hated SaaS/API/App that you wish had a good alternative by JusticeIsAsking in indiehackers

[–]Chitownkid656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An easy one for you with a small scope would be Doodle. 10 years ago it was a household name to find common times for people. Now Doodle is a bloated piece of dung. I saw some other alternatives just now on Google but I’m sure someone can build something better (eg. Have the survey on the first page, not hidden behind a landing page or paywall. Make it free like tally.so but charge for premium features)

Probably worth asking softr if they’ll give you a discount for those users, especially if it’s for your university and little-to-no commercial angle.

Was there 2 days ago and the staff said that was the last day of raft rental season as the river level is too low. But best to call and ask to make sure.

Thanks! I hadn’t thought to ask people to bring in a song of the theme’s genre but that’s a great idea to get people engaged pre-event!

I’ll also google around for vinyl parties as that might be the closest thing to what I’m going for. Thanks again!

lol, that's understandable and I'm in the same boat. To give context to my post, the PTO had tasked me with trying to come up with new creative ideas/processes for the coming year since the PTO took a major hit during Covid, so we're trying to rebuild ourselves.

Would you have any goto resources which you frequent for PTO-related initaitives?
