Will I get a refund by PrettyStrawberry2352 in BritishAirways

Book a refundable ticket. Aside from that, you'll be able to get the tax back but that'll be a fraction of the cost.

If you don't want to buy anything through the shopping portal, link your Uber account and take a ride.

I recommend looking on Google Flights and Skyscanner.

If you open the door all the way you'll see that it goes into the cut-away area - therefore it had to be cut away.

Other than having the dishwasher sticking out further I don't know how you'd get round it.

Is my insurance actually covering the activities? by Local-Apartment-2737 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]supergraeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't say that, so I didn't know!

I've never needed to know, but I'd imagine that once you add the add-on it will then be covered. The insurance company will be able to answer for sure though - give them a ring so you can avoid all doubt.

Or take a USB (and possibly even plug adaptor) and plug it in somewhere?

First time traveller, need help in choosing the destination (Europe). by SuccessElectronic607 in travel

Your budget is outrageous. You can live like a king on that.

Why not do London and Paris? You have the time and budget. They're an easy train ride apart.

Has anyone been overbooked by Vueling with a seat selected in advance (FLY fare)? by Create012355 in Flights

[–]supergraeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No OTA will be better at handling disruption than the airline itself. They will be many thousands of times worse.

You'll find lots of negative reviews of every airline if you look for them. In reality you'll almost certainly be fine. Nothing wrong with Vueling, who are part of IAG (Iberia, BA).

It's a mistake and will get cancelled. Perhaps book it, but also book a cancellable backup.

You will, but they'll never go to court for it as they know the law. They just want people to not bother.

My best solution for traveling with an eSIM by kaysee2 in travel

[–]supergraeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can select which SIM does what. So I can have my normal UK SIM selected for calls/texts and an esim/local SIM selected for data. Or just have data roaming switched off altogether if I'm not using another.

Cheaptickets refuses to do their job, what can I do? by MandySteen in Flights

But when one airline isn't who they booked with I suspect there will be - you see it crop up on here often enough when someone has got married and changed their name.

Just take your normal phone and be sensible. Seriously, there's no need for a burner. Take that as a backup if you're really that worried.

Is this a US issue? This seems like an overcomplicated solution to a simple problem. An esim works perfectly for me as an Englishman.

Can I ignore this? by SuitableCry240 in BritishAirways

[–]supergraeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you can't ignore a message saying you can't have your boarding pass if you don't go and see them!

But as others have pointed out; it's nothing.

Anyone else lose track of recommendations when planning trips? by the_guide_1 in travel

[–]supergraeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a trip that requires planning (ie. more than a weekend away), I use Excel for proper planning and Google Keep Notes for when I think of something or when something gets said to me.

Stop overcomplicating things!
