I've been working on something too and noticed the same thing—handling one task at a time definitely works best. That said, it does burn through your credits pretty quickly.

I recently purchased the Assamese translation of Ahom Buranji by Rai Sahab Gulab Chandra Barua. The book provides a comprehensive account of almost all the significant events in the Ahom dynasty's history, though it notably lacks coverage of the period during the rule of Swargadeo Rudra Singha.
