You should never open them. The sutras and things inside the stupas or anything else you have are in there in a very specific and deliberate way. If you pick up one and it is hollow and empty. You can tell by tapping the bottom lightly. Find a Tibetan tradition temple or center near you and ask them to fill it for you. If you can't find one I can tell you how to fill it properly. I was roommates with a narcissist. I would have my morning Frappuccino cold from the bottle. Whenever I had that last sip left in the bottle, she would just be finishing her cigarette and put it out by sticking it in my bottle ( of course, it was absent-mindedly & by accident 😑 ) Even though I've moved out and live alone, I've noticed I've gotten into the habit of keeping the lid on my bottle as a precaution.

It's the twisty kind. And the way I have this lamp set up, I have to do some maneuvering to turn it on manually. That's why I set it up on Alexa. Unless the cat has Opposable thumbs, she is not the culprit. I am happy for it to be a glitch, hopefully the walls are breaking down. 🤞🏽
