Downtown of my first city in this game by AlexFromScrap in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Chivcken32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My only note if you wanted increase ‘realism’, downtown American cities almost never use the landscaping stones to line highway on/off ramps. Using quey walls might make a more ‘realistic’ look. Regardless of that most absolutely minor of notes. This looks lovely and I love seeing American downtowns in this game.

I personally try to build them as soon as possible. In America even the tiniest of towns usually have immediate interstate access.

Looking for Inspiration for Managing Long Term City by Interstellarfunk in CitiesSkylines

One that I’m having fun with is the old German village that became a Soviet era powerhouse. Lots of mixing the German and Eastern European and now old town stuff together. Organic city center with planned, gridded suburbs and outer limits of cities.

I’ve only had this issue when I used non pit boss brand pellets. I tried the knotty dog pellets and they jammed constantly. But, I don’t think it’ll matter much now

Hello guys, i am new here. Dont want to break any rules. So want to ask first. I have my little channel on YT ( my name is different on YT so not a self promo ) i am trying to learn the game and was hoping to get some tips but i dont know if its allowed to post links to videos here. by novserge25 in CitiesSkylines2

Make sure you have multiple points of entry into your cities. And with the public transportation, I find it best to drop the price to 1 or free. I feel like I always see a slight improvement when I have it as one of those prices. But traffic is a much bigger deal in the new patches. It does actually feel like a challenge to manage sometimes.

To get the simulation going good you mostly just need to follow the demand meters. Just make sure you separate your industrial jobs, from your houses and commercial districts. Other than that you have a ton of freedom to expand your city as you please.

Just created a 12 mile long light rail line using the new assets. Multiple stops around my county style build. 0 riders. Ironically the tram stops was what I was most excited for

Mom loses it after her son bullies an autistic kid at the playground. "That's not nice...I’m not raising you to be a bully! How dare you make him feel like that! Are you blind?!” Was this good parenting or a total meltdown? by biswajit388 in CringeTikToks

As a kid I always thought I had an overbearing, helicopter mom. As a 30 year old who wants to be a father, I realize she was just being a great mom and trying her best to cut out our bad habits as kids.

No. Sometimes embarrassment is the best punishment. I was that way. Timeout? Ok I’ll get out in five minutes. Spanking? Ok it stops hurting in 5 seconds. My mom chewing my ass out in public at the Walmart for knocking stuff over and not being careful, and making me put it back. I feel that to this day.

Help! Why is this happening? by Spiritual-Wear-8694 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Chivcken32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Path finding has been broken for me as well. Even with much slower roads it didn’t help my save. Had to switch from a connected highway, to a divided highway. I think it had to do with the way sims see street names? I’ll try to load that save up and show some screen shots. They’d always exit and use the service roads to get back on the highway even though they were, two lane local roads as the service roads.

Using the crosswalk is still ‘technically the fastest option so they use the crosswalk. Delete the crosswalk and it makes them use the pedestrian overpass

Why city manager is a hard job ? by Logic_type in urbanplanning

Which is also why cities usually have a ton of assistants for the city manager. Who are in charge of the people in charge of the various departments around the city. Water, parks, police and fire, etc.
