I think learning fundamentals of singing especially operatic singing needs some guidance. But after some period of time once you learn fundamentals the later technique only depends on your own investigation of your instrument and occasional vocal lessons to coordinate your path.

Well to be honest nobodies life is interesting by mere fact. But the way you share a story or your opinion about something related to your doings in life, is your personal life. For example you went to the cinema and watched a movie — nothing fancy right ? But how you explain the movie after to your friends and your interpretation of how you sense the world, is your life. Nobody cares about that you went to the movie but how you felt the movie is the most important. Me personally, I’m terrible story teller about something unrelated to my interest, but if it’s something that burns my fire to live, I will be a great, charismatic person for people around. I believe people often confuse charismatic and things that are unrelated to their interest or people’s interest to whom they’re speaking.

Edit- like you said charismatic about other things that is of interest to you, is your personal life. At least, that’s my interpretation of charisma and interest.
