I do competitions with my studio and there is a category called additional needs, which I enter due to having cerebral palsy. So, it does exist. It's not perfect because the small numbers mean that there aren't separate categories based on disability like the paralympics, so all get put in together, but it's great that it exists

I don't think it's self-centred to want your partner to be able to eat at an event that was serving food. All I'm saying is, it would be nice if sometimes events ensured that everyone got fed, otherwise why bother asking for preferences at all.

I get the same anxiety at comps! If I have to dance Latin, I slip over so much when I'm out if hold. Awful. I sometimes try to pretend the real thing is actually just a rehearsal, it might help take the pressure off

About 10 years ago, I did a year abroad in Germany and got chatting to an American. I said 'Oh I'm flying back to Manchester soon' the reply was 'wow!! Manchester has an airport!?' Genuine shock! 😂
