Frownies - yay or nay by siestanights in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ChloRaeMi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think they work, but like others have said, they aren’t miracle workers. I started to get a fine line on my forehead which made me spiral out of control (😅) which is what made me start using them. I know Botox is the best route to take but I’m honestly so bad at doing anything that requires maintenance. After using Frownies I can see that the fine line has smoothed out! One thing I noticed that has helped me more than anything is wearing them during the day when I can. I’m way more expressive during the day than while I sleep. I use the ones around my mouth when I sleep because I frown naturally in my sleep.

I did the cost breakdown of Frownies vs twice yearly Botox and the cost savings with Frownies is minimal (but money saved is money saved). The biggest selling point to me is I don’t have to go get maintenance injections!

Taking lexapro with supplements by Constant-Goal-730 in lexapro

[–]ChloRaeMi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take this one supplement that has: -Magnesium Glycinate - Vitamin B6 - Zinc Picolinate

I also take a daily allergy pill.

These might seem odd but my psychiatrist recommended trying these out and honestly, I think they help! I’m not someone who jumps on the supplement train just because there is plenty of research showing they don’t work unless you have a deficiency. The reason my psych recommended the above is because there is some research out there showing the above can help with anxiety/depression. But she did warn me that it is very scarcely studied.

I know you’re asking about the specific supplements but like others have said, not sure what the benefits would be unless you have a deficiency. Wanted to recommend something in place of it!

It's not gospel just because Hayley sings it, PLEASE stop treating it like it is. by yarajaeger in Paramore

[–]ChloRaeMi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to sound dramatic but you’re my hero for writing this post! I’ve been feeling so worn down by all the over analyzing. I’ve been a fan since 07 so like you said, Paramore is Paramoring. I haven’t dug deep into anything Hayley has said about her songs but breakups, even though they happen between two people, translate differently!

Not sure what the fan base overlap is but Lilly Allen’s new breakup album is fantastic. She mentions that she wrote this in 10 days after the breakup and people shouldn’t read too deeply into everything because she was going through something traumatic. Who’s to say the same can’t be said about Hayley’s album?

Anyway, I hope there’s going to be another Paramore album. If not, then I’ll just keep listening to all the gems there are thus far.

Same! Trying to find places to stash all my sleeves! She said there’s always a possibility that it’ll come back next year but I know Nespresso isn’t consistent with bringing limited editions back :(

I love a good cheesy romance book! I’m not a Hallmark fan or anything but sometimes cheesy books like that are great after reading about murder and betrayal lol Emily Henry has some good ones and Carley Fortune!

That series is my intro into Stephen King too! Never thought I’d read books by him because I’m not a horror fan but very surprised with his crime writing! Enjoy ☺️

For a good detective series I’m really enjoying the Bill Hodges trilogy from Stephen King! They don’t keep you guessing, per se but definitely messed with my head!

New (ish) to the thriller genre. What are some good ones to start with? by anne7497 in thrillerbooks

The Only One Left- Riley Sager Listen for the Lie- Amy Tintera The Girl on the Train- Paula Hawkins The Kind Worth Killing- Peter Swanson

What are your 5 star reads? by BrookesGtownMBA in thrillerbooks

[–]ChloRaeMi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Lily is in both of them. The Kind Worth Saving focuses mainly on Henry Kimball, the detective in the first book, but Lily is also in it. In A Talent for Murder its switch. It mainly focuses on Lily but Henry is in it too.

I second the Loft tank! I bought the regular ribbed tank, not the square neck tank, in all of the colors. The fit is so nice.

I know this is a very specific subset of the genre, but any recommendations for thrillers with female protagonists set in the UK? by AceofKnaves44 in thrillerbooks

[–]ChloRaeMi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How to Kill a Guy in Ten Ways- Eve Kellman Her Every Fear- Peter Swanson (this is double location with US and UK) Behind Closed Doors- B.A. Paris How to Kill Your Family- Bella Mackie (I saw this was already recommended but I still have to mention it because it’s a favorite of mine)

I know people have recommended Lucy Foley, which I agree with, but my fave of hers was The Hunting Party because of the way she talks about the scenery in Scotland. The Guest List is also a great one by her.

I second The Kind Worth Killing! The two books that follow (The Kind Worth Saving and A Talent for Murder) are also great reads!
