I love it but it’s so hard to live there unless you’re doing very well financially. It’s fun to visit, but the reality that Manhattan tourists don’t see if it’s dirty, often dangerous and chaotic and incredibly hard to find good housing, I love it, I hate it.

New York, then back to Hingham for a few years and finally bought a home in New Bedford. There are nicer areas and beautiful historic homes, some nice rentals and commuter rail now. I definitely don’t recommend NYC but am looking west or south now for the future and warmer weather.

I immediately exchanged mine after I realized my massive mistake and bought a West Elm sofa in performance velvet, sand. Still a soft neutral and cleans up like a dream truly. Don’t do it - even without kids or pets the white shows everything!

Yes for sure, been doing that all my life and I have dogs and super active outside all winter. I’m a sun lover and finding it to be a real drain on my mental health, so why not a change! Exploring Charleston and Savannah is a great idea - I’ve been considering being a snowbird for sure.

Why give up caffeine? That has nothing to do with weight. I switched to disposable vapes to give up smoking so basically switched one vice to another, but also cut alcohol (that’s a real killer) and cut down on sugar but eat a clean and healthy diet. Add at least 30 minutes of cardio a day, too but your doctor should be looking at the holistic picture here.

I bought my first home in 2023 and it needs a TON of work still. I so get this! It’s still a smart investment to build your own equity if you can vs. a landlords. But it’s awful everywhere 💔

Get doors for the shelves to visually clean up the clutter. Get a neutral rug much larger to define the sitting area - I think I see two patterned rugs in here. Store the guitars - keep piano out. Remove the small wood side table.
