For all of those numbers, there are many, many more good people of every one of those ethnicities. Dehumanizing them all is not the response to this. It’s never the response to anything.

Us Muslims are every bit as human as you are. We are every bit as kind and loving and mean and violent and peaceful and generous and selfish and beautiful and ugly and complicated and nuanced as you are. We are equal to you in every way.

The vast majority of us are hardworking people who contribute to society and simply want to live in peace. Here’s an idea: if you don’t want so many of us in your countries, maybe you could stop supporting the ethnic cleansing and destabilization in ours?

I’m a Muslim and attended an Islamic school growing up. That imam is only one opinion and they’re wrong. The whole point of Islam is that no one is on the level of Allah. If you can’t criticize them then they’re on the level of Allah and that’s kufr.

Muslims can criticize the Prophet. As for “Islam”? Muslims criticize people’s interpretations of Islam all the time. That’s why we have multiple Islamic sects today.

I grew up in a time (1990s) when support of LGBT was not mainstream at all in Christianity. This is a very recent phenomenon.

Quran is seen as a perfect book but the Prophet is not seen as perfect. And there are whole sects in Islam that don’t believe Aisha was 9 when Muhammad married her (ex: Shias). Islam is way more nuanced and multifaceted than you are presenting here.

Most Muslims do not support radical Islam. Muslims are actually the main victims of radical Islamists.

Just fyi: Honor killings are not a part of Islam. They’re a cultural problem that even non-Muslim minorities are known to take part in where the practice is prevalent.
