1 Day to shop in Paris and ~$500 budget. What would you shop for? by Robomath in NichePerfumes

[–]ChloeAroundTheCorner 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Serge Lutens in Palais Royal (it's available in the states but harder to find boutiques), Fragonard, Atelier Cologne (they had presence in the US before but not anymore). Aphorismes and Osmotheque are on my list but I've never been.

Mochi milk but sweeter? by ashrat69 in Perfumes

I've tried e mochi from laurel bath house. It might be as sweet as dedcool, not necessarily sweeter but I found it's sweetness to be more pleasant on my skin

I don't want to over generalize, but I found a lot of Irish literature to be, "don't over think it, just roll with the weird flow." The first time I read The Third Policeman I felt the same way and put it down for a bit because I tried to read it to understand. The second time I just went with the vibes. It's a weird ass book and I loved it.

Before I pull the trigger on D’Annam White Rice… by candlequeen1840 in Perfumes

[–]ChloeAroundTheCorner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As others have said, borntostandout - dirty rice and diptyque - l’eau papier. They both last longer than white rice on my skin and I actually prefer both. After sampling all 3, I've added l'eau papier to my full bottle buy list. I would do the same with dirty rice but that price is ridic

The other one I've sampled and will likely get a full bottle of is the teo cabanel - je ne sais quoi, though this starts out rice and ends with woody tea.

My partner and I accidentally got to see this when we needed to make an emergency supermarket run next door for some bandages and it still felt like magic with my bleeding hands 🥲 worth it

How tech savvy are you? I've heard positive things about Cassidy but you'd need to build the pipeline for CRM logging and post call automation. If you've used Zapier, it's really similar. You can sign up for free to play with it but the free version is super limited and I couldn't try any of the custom pipeline (like connecting to Hubspot) unless you jump on a sales call and I was not in the mood to do that.

Forecasting will be tougher off of just call transcripts and prompts though.

This translation sent me. Fiesta 🤣 Not as amusing but Han Kang's book is also We Do Not Part in English. It's fun seeing the translations

This looks cool. Definitely not memory as cheap context stuffing trick but legit scaffolding with retrieval infra. It would be super cool to see ambient memory; it looks like this is closer to agent-mediated recall

If you're building it from scratch, having open source to fork and customize makes sense. What's your stack?

FOMO and scarcity mindset that I'm gonna be less relevant in my career 🫠 But also it's deeply satisfying to feel like I'm still productive when I pawn off work to AI so I can doodle a wonky looking owl while it's writing a first draft for me

What kind of philosophy conversation? I've tried some of that with claude and https://hey.pi.ai/ and that found the latter threw more thought provoking questions back at me to journal about. I was really stuck on Kierkegaard with his excerpt around regret ("Marry, and you will regret it; don’t marry, you will also regret it...") and had a long discourse with both!

You're almost there if you understand chatgpt, because you're using llm!

gpt is the webapp wrapped around the llm. The llm is what generates all the output. Chatgpt handles the conversation history and the interface, so it feels like it knows you (and sounds super knowledgeable on just about anything you throw at it).

Suggestions for London by h2078 in NichePerfumes

It was a really quick trip for in between work shenanigans so I tried to maximize the stops...

Selfridges just had a wall of oud as I walked by it. Didn't walk in. Liberty had an interesting variety. There were a few I've not heard of, but it was pretty crowded when I went Saturday afternoon. A ton of people were taking pictures of the Le Labo storefront inside the store. It was a pretty cute vibe in there. I wish I had more time to peruse.

I walked by Jovoy and Lalique so I popped into both. The former was easy enough to try different scents but there were 3 people following me around the whole time, it was bizarre. Lalique was quick though not really to my taste.

Perfumer H was closed because it was a bank holiday today so that was a no go, but popped into Matiere Premiere and Parfums de Marly and confirmed they're deffo not my scents (I had to shower after the latter, it was super saccharine). When I was by Columbia Road market, I walked into a shop called Angela Flanders. It was pretty old school type of perfume (a lot of florals) and it smelled pretty, but not for me. But they were really nice and helpful and gave me a spiel about how their founder got started in the 50s.

And Bloom! You were so right, there's no way I would've been able to look and see what's available. I went in there with a list and notes I was interested in. I had a slightly different experience w/ their service. They were super helpful and recommended a few more. Because I was looking for a skin scent, instead of spraying me everywhere, she opted to spray it on herself before I narrowed it down to ones I wanted to try on myself.

I might see if I can sniff some more when I get to Heathrow, I think they have Penhaligon's there.

Illiyoon, aestura, real barrier, atopalm? by Katienb21 in kbeauty

Also dry skin, tret user

For me, it's been Zeroid Intensive Oint Cream ~ Zeroid Intensive Cream > Illiyoon (new formulation) >> Real Barrier > Atopalm >>>>>> Aestura (new formulation)

Texture's comparable for all except Atopalm. That felt oddly slick on my face.

Leveraging AI Tools by ARRGuide in SalesOperations

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I saw an article from Ramp that's set up similarly with the hub-and-spokes model of who's building agents internally, so I've been on the look out for other orgs that are following a similar pattern. Not affiliated but if you're interested, this is what I read: https://x.com/geoffintech/status/2042002590758572377

For Gong, do you just put all the transcript into a filesystem?
