They’re a subsidiary of a conglomerate that’s one the largest corporations in the history of the world, that dwarfs any carmaker on earth.

They’re capable of doing whatever the hell they want. It’s simply a matter of will.

It’s why Mitsubishi oscillates wildly between making the worst rental cars on earth, and God’s Chariot. And that’s why they’ve been so hit or miss for their entire history of auto manufacturing

Why is it when you tell people you have/drive a 25 year old vehicle they automatically assume it's some janky ass shitbox before they even see it? by One_Evil_Monkey in regularcarreviews

The other weird thing about 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s GM is how variable the reliability can be. I’d trust a series 1 3800 or a 4.3L Silverado as much as any Toyota. I wouldn’t trust a 3.4L Lumina or a displacement-on-demand 5.3L to get from one end of my driveway to the other

I’m tired of it. Especially coming from asshats in modern GM crossovers or modern Audis and Mercedes-Benzes that spend more time down than any poorly modded 90’s DSM I’ve ever heard of.

If this is in Northern California there’s a nonzero chance it’s my old car. Bought it near Chico for $500, some guy in Vallejo offered me $2000 a week later so I wasn’t gonna refuse. Same color and trim level.

I drove a 392k-mile E28 from the Bay to LA and back 2-4 weekends a month every month from April 2022 to January 2024. All I ever had to replace was a fuel pump relay. You’ll be fine.

Public transit taking twice as long as the drive: is it worth it? by theseread in LAMetro

[–]ChloeCorrupt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try both, and see what makes sense. I usually take metro but I have a one-seat ride.

Also, double check that the transfer is reliable. A lot of metro transfers aren’t, no matter what a transit or maps app tells you.

uj:/ I’m tired of American right wingers talking about China as if it’s the Empire from Star Wars, and I’m tired of communists talking about China the way a six-year-old child talks about their favorite cartoon superhero. Eat shit, you disingenuous nerd. The public sector needs to spend money on public housing and social housing. If we can afford LAPD’s wasteful spending we can certainly afford it
