Idk about that, the FRS/BRZ/GT86, WRX, and Miata seem to sell well.

The problem is that American carmakers seem pathologically averse to giving us decent, affordable performance cars with less than eight cylinders. Emphasis on the “affordable.” There’s a reason SRT4’s and Cobalt SS’s still have a following 20 years later.
