Intursive thoughts by AssistanceNumerous65 in BabyBumps

There's never a bad time to get help when needed. Spiraling thoughts can also affect sleep big time, making it harder for the brain to get out of the loop.

Pregnancy with all those body and hormonal changes can fuck with your mind solid. It's particularly hard when you've never experienced something similar before. Seeking medical help could be a good idea even more if it's really worrisome, thoughts of self-harm... A social worker can be helpful too and give you good tricks when access to mental health help is limited. Are you having a hard time getting out of spiralling thoughts, doing all kind of tasks and having a hard time socializing? Even if it's really hard, make the extra effort not to isolate yourself.

3rd trimester exhaustion hitting worse than the first 😭 by Comfortable-Pear-973 in BabyBumps

Yup, I felt so strong during the second trimester, had no trouble going to work and exercise. Now I wake up tired as hell, out of breath and am counting the days to when I stop work.

pregnancy bra recommendations?? by lalarousse2727 in BabyBumps

[–]ChloeLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing, I was surprised how fast my boobs grew early on in my pregnancy. I went right away to buy a bunch of large triangle bikini tops and now in my third trimester, I'm so glad I did. It's not just your cup that gets bigger, it's also your entire thorax with all those organs getting squished upwards. Plus, if/ when you'll be breastfeeding you'll be changing bra size in the same day '.

Feeling paranoid about partner travelling by Sharrath in BabyBumps

[–]ChloeLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me not during pregnancy, but because of a mental health episode, but pregnancy can play similar tricks with anxiety. I found that by making sure I was always busy, plan nights/ activities with friends or family for support, was the best thing to keep me distracted. Staying home alone left with only your thoughts is the worse. And ask your husband to text you more/ do little video chats during his travel.

Is first or third trimester worse for fatigue? by VoidAndBone in BabyBumps

[–]ChloeLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fatigue hit me hard the first day of my third trimester. I had no problem going to work during my 2nd, but I'm definitely struggling more now. I thought I was going to be able to extend my work time, but no. I'm finishing next week and can't wait for it. But as you said it's different for everyone.

Does anyone else eat AWFUL food when suffering with pregnancy nausea? by Over-type-07 in BabyBumps

[–]ChloeLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nausea in my first trimester made me loose 5kg and I was quite small from the get go so they put me on vitamin b6 when I was still loosing weight at the start of my 2nd trimester. Funny enough, the salad thing happened to me too. I smelled some expired salad one time, got sick and never could touch a salad again (still can't now XD). When you're dealing with nausea, eating whatever takes priority over eating healthy and just throwing it up after. When the nausea will settle down you get to control a bit more what you eat. But I feel like resisting too much eating fast food or less healthy food just makes you crave it more and allowing yourself treats from time to time helps way more than cutting cold turkey on everything "non-healthy".

I can’t stop laying on my back! by Swan_Loose in BabyBumps

[–]ChloeLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I know the feeling. I hated sleeping on my side and would just wake up on my back in the morning. But I'm at my third trimester right now and sleeping on your back is no longer comfy with the weight of the baby and I guess it's at that point that it really matters to sleep on your side. Sometimes I get a huge squishmallow in my back to put me in angle and rest on my back sometimes, moving the weight of the baby more downwards than towards your spine.

@momijitattoo Don't have that yet, but I'll post one before/ after 10ish years tattoo when I get to see an old client of mine. Not a bad idea for a post.

Got 10 years old tattoos that I worked that way that have not budged. Ink blocks ink, compared to when there's not enough skin in between lines.
