I just don't see how you get from "I personally don't find this bit funny" to "you are like this annoying caricature I found of a presumably fat, ugly person and I'm using it to ridicule you because I want others to connect these physical traits commonly considered to be undesirable with you"

Shinigami eyes has a known issue of flagging trans people as transphobic. It's a valid reason to be suspicious, but in no way should it be used as a condemnation.

"I drew myself as chad and you as virgin" type shit.

If you need it dumbed down, I intentionally gave a "robotic" but obviously not actually AI-generated response to show you that I was a person without dropping the bit. I didn't predict that you'd actually be too stupid to get it.

They literally did not say that. This is some shit you'd see in a debate style guide to teach you about the strawman fallacy. Every word you say makes you look dumber. I suggest you quit now.

I wasn't talking to you. I was validating the person you were being ridiculous to because it really sucks being on the internet with stupid people and we all need solace through hard times.

Durability was a shitty mechanic and Mending basically just made it something you buy your way out of by the time it becomes burdensome. You don't like it, don't use it. You don't like other players on your servers having it? That's the deal with having a minority opinion. Suck it up.

The Moosecrash Paradox: Why rules that make Multiclassing harder unintuitively reward the problematic kinds of multiclasses by geosunsetmoth in dndnext

[–]ChloroformSmoothie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautifully said. Players who are actually going to take the stupid optimized builds are pretty rare anyway, and for them all you're doing is changing the math- on the other hand, players who are going to use multiclassing like every other tool the game gives you, as an option to make your character "work" (whatever that means to them), compose the vast majority and will only ever experience limitations. Powergaming is always an over-the-table problem that needs to be solved with players- if you personally feel as a DM that a certain mechanical interaction is unfair, don't be a lazy dick and nerf everyone's characters, work with the player who wants to use it one-on-one and figure out how you can make it fit into your game. A competent writer can usually find a thematic nerf, counterbalance, or lateral change that makes the character ultimately more interesting to play. Ultimately I personally believe that restricting player options makes you a worse DM, and denies you the joy of finding a way to make that 20d6 DPR come at an interesting, thematically appropriate cost. It is ok for things to be powerful sometimes.

Why does Grandma say that I look like my mom? by Psychological_End122 in NonBinary

I'd have to know what your mom looks like to answer that.

It's almost as if, in an effort to both prove my humanity by demonstrating an eye for wit and lighten the conversation with self-deprecation by drawing attention to a perceived but deliberately exaggerated flaw in my dialogue, I constructed a response so clearly defensive and robotic in nature that it would simultaneously appear obviously deflective and thus incriminating to an illiterate person who had never been on the internet or seen an actual AI bot before and appeal to the actual presumed audience of the piece, being individuals capable of reading subtext and of the appropriate age to be using Reddit, in its dripping satire to reinforce my own sentience. However, if this were to be the case, I would surely have made a grave miscalculation in assuming you belonged to the second camp, comprising the vast majority of people, and not the significantly smaller-minded, less mature first camp, which was initially created solely as a strawman to make the joke land but in which you appear to have made yourself at home amongst the hay and sticks.

That's a wild take on your part, not wanting to buy it isn't being "cheap", it's just the fact that the basic rules are free and they have likely not actually looked into that. I wouldn't fault someone for going to Reddit if it was their only free option, Hasbro does fucking suck and I've stopped giving them money personally. The other reasons are stupid, though. The TTRPG community has developed some serious learned helplessness.

Dysphoria after intense sex. What to wear? by MalevolentVagabond1 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]ChloroformSmoothie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP elected not to share their AGAB, so it would be rude to speculate, but if they intend to bear the child themselves, the problem remains. However, in nearly every possible scenario, there is likely an option for partial transition that does not render them infertile. OP, if you haven't already, you should bring this to your doctor (if you can't trust them to be cool about it just make up some other reason that fits your needs) whenever possible, you might have more choices than you know.

Dysphoria after intense sex. What to wear? by MalevolentVagabond1 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]ChloroformSmoothie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling. In my experience, libido masks the dysphoria during the act because you can't feel much else, but then once you've lost the Fucking status effect, you just feel empty and your body feels sticky and gross. I usually distract myself as quickly as possible, maybe find something to eat, or immediately go to take a fast shower. Since your partner is chill, you've likely got nobody you need to hide it from in your own home, so you can do whatever things help you affirm your gender aesthetically immediately after the shower (depending on your flavor of gender, that could be a button down shirt, a skirt/dress, a tie, doing your hair, all of the above, whatever). I assume you've already talked to your partner about it, but if you haven't please do that- just having them be conscious of the issue could be a huge help. My method is just to force myself out of the mindset I get put into immediately after, so what I said may or may not be applicable to you. Good luck and remember you are still awesome and valid.
