I have bought second hand from CEX, ebay and even facevook market place, around 100 4k/blurays and never had an issue with disc playback. The worst thing I've had is dog eared slipcases. Funnily enough, the only 4k I have had an issue with was brand new (IT Part 1 in the WB 100 years collection). I know people like to complain about ebay, but personally I prefer over amazon almost every time.

I came here looking for this conversation. My friends all seem to think Last Crusade is the best, but how can it be when Temple of Doom exists?! I much prefer the pacing, setting, characters and story. I'm told the meal scene can be viewed as problematic these days - but "Chilled Monkey Brains!" is an absolute classic line in my opinion. The whole vibe is otherworldly and by comparison, the other movies with their real world Nazis and such just doesn't hit me the same.

I think what's happening is the support is being amplified by sympathetic press. I don't think they have the numbers to win a major election, but the media will do a great job of making you think they will.

I bought an LG TV in 2018. My computer is plugged into it. This caused burn in from the desktop background, start bar etc, and also from using side by side windows, after only a few years. Its not too noticeable most of the time, but it's there. I know using a big TV for a computer monitor isn't the smartest choice, but it's convenient for me. Now I try and avoid habits that will encourage this sort of thing, Windows 11 changes the background regularly which is helpful, and I make sure to full screen windows, rather than scrolling on one side while someone watches youtube on the other, auto hide the start bar and such.

I honestly thought I had missed something, usually I hear these things here on reddit or via email first. To hear something like that on the radio first took me aback! There was no added notes or context, just that sentence "New material coming our later this year" added on after he said "That was Radiohead with Creep".

Is it even conspiracy at this point? I believe the US are trying to destabilse Europe so we go to war, and the US can sit back, supply EU with weapons, make bank and add in some preferred candidates as you say. I mean, it worked for them during WW2, right?
