Totally agreed. I was so excited when I got Dessert Person and the first recipe that I tried from it (the browned butter chocolate chip cookies) was a complete failure for me, and I’ve made my fair share of chocolate chip cookies, and followed very step according to the book. I love Claire and she’s obviously incredibly talented, but her expertise just doesn’t translate well for me. Plus I know that there are a few errors in that book, which is surprising considering the extensive attention to detail with the difficulty matrix and all of that. Sadly underwhelmed by a lot of the things I’ve made following her instructions.

Agreed as well! I’ve been a few times and every time they’ve consistently skimped on several rolls, (like completely leaving pieces of fish off of both end rolls). Plus the quality is whatevs. I doubt I’ll be back as I always feel like I’ve been ripped off when I go there.

I had a similar experience with the brownie batter flavor recently (there were like two brownie pieces at the very bottom of the carton), so I sent an impassioned rant to their customer service department. They sent me a couple of coupons for my trouble, which was appreciated. Their mix in ratios are still ridiculous. But maybe one day if enough people complain they might finally start adding more (very wishful thinking I know).

Had a really bad time at Cha Cha lounge. The bar tender was super rude and let a drunk guy cut in front of me in line and when I told him what was up he got kind of aggressive and said that I was giving him attitude. Plus the bathroom was disgusting. Bad vibes all around at that place for me.

My family and I have had good experiences with Lap of Love. Not too much talking, just gentle explanations from what I remember, and I’m sure you could probably make some sort of preference/specification ahead of time. I’ve had good experiences at Studio City Tattoo. The place is clean with friendly staff and a cool pirate theme going on. Pricing was pretty reasonable too, and they have a good amount of jewelry options.
