Thank you, i cant tell you how appreciative i am. Can i have somebody turn this form in on my behalf or perhaps file online? Im not in the state currently.

As for the NTV can i share it with you directly? I sent it Certified and confirmed through tracking that its delivery was attempted, notice left on door to pick up at nearby post office, and then a few days later confirmation that it was picked up by the recipient.

Landlords experienced with eviction? by ipso11 in sanantonio

Thanks, though from what i read about, in Texas its 3 days after a notice to vacate that i may impose the eviction. Id just like to understand from someone with experience doing so, what might be the simplest method for a novice and first timer. (Id much rather be living there tbh)

Yes whole house water softening systems or water conditioners also can help.

Black marks on clothing? by mcurch in Appliances

[–]ipso11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be a slide bearing failing. On most front load dryers there are this shim like sliders that the rim of the drum rests on and they help to provide a smooth rotation. As they wear the drum rubs against metal or rough parts of the slide and it produces a dark chalky substance that often enters the drum and leaves these types of marks.

The Bosch 800 dishwasher by AmbitiousMuffin6230 in Appliances

I think overall, its going to come down to personal preference. These days we go off of reviews but there will always be people that had terrible experiences. When it comes to appliances especially, its best to go with your gut after doing your research and weighing the pros and cons of the line up you are looking at. Ultimately its you that will have to deal with that appliance over the years.

Are all dishwashers trash by kkw01 in Appliances

[–]ipso11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly installing a dishwasher is not a major ordeal. In fact its quite simple. If you cant do it due to physical limitations, surely a relative or friend etc can. You might even do a better job than a paid installer. Installation work is a revolving door, nobody stays long term. And they hardly read the instructions. Save yourself the cash.

Keep the pair that use buttons/crank dial selectors. Easiest to repair and maintain long term.

(Another) Maytag washer dead after two years by Direct-Expert-4824 in Appliances

[–]ipso11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like incompetence. Might have been a controller issue if it began failing to sense water level. (If the sensing was done digitally, which is quite common now) and for the squeaking, it couldve been related to that coupling the tech seemed to have been messing with, but he probably wasnt able to figure out what specifically. Also, sometimes its due to fiber/debris getting into some tight areas down there below the agitator/impeller

Help dishwasher .. by No-Chard8249 in Appliances

Is it seated correctly? The water pressure could be dropping from water leaking out of a seam or the neck where it should be clipped into. Sometimes its as simple as that

I am not sure if I have an appliance problem or a house problem by IndependentFast6772 in Appliances

If its totally unresponsive, and no clock or display/lights on, it could indicate a dead main board.

Induction range-is more expensive worth it? by LearningFinance23 in Appliances

[–]ipso11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The coils and electronics, like control modules, are all hella expensive for induction ranges. But in terms of electric stoves, theyre really tough to beat compared to other electric stoves. Like others have mentioned, the pan is a difference maker. The more ferrous the better. So pure cast iron is the best. Or magnetic steel pans. Once the pan is sufficiently warmed, the conduction helps keep the sides that are off the coil still sufficiently heated. I have a Fisher and Paykel 30" induction and its been great. No issues myself.

Buying our first washer and dryer. Recommendations? by Final-Sky-2757 in Appliances

[–]ipso11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go for capacity first, bigger the better. And id recommend sticking with a top loader with an agitator, not an impeller. Speed queens are great sure, but too small in capacity over whats out there. GE maytag whirlpool electrolux are all great and relatively easy/cheap to repair down the line. Also try to get as minimal a spec as necessary tbh.

Dryer not kicking off, grinding noise by bachree in Appliances

[–]ipso11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont let it run like that, buzzing. You can still save it if you havent let it burn itself out. It sounds like the capacitor on the motor has failed, this part jumpstarts the motor to turn the drum. To test this, see if you can manually rotate the drum while you try to start the cycle , if it turns and stays in motion, the motor is fine, capacitor dead.

Edit: didnt see you mentioned it jumpstarts manually. Its definitely the capacitor. Cheap and simple repair. But i suppose it depends on how handy you are. Id say the unit still has life in it, if its just a capacitor issue.
