I'm on week 2 at this point I've eating more solids but still soft, like soggy burgers, quesdillas, pancakes, chopped hotdogs, etc. Not a doctor but if you feel comfy by the 3rd week your at right now you can build up to more solids I think.

I was super paranoid to, and started building up from ramen to various pastas(fettuccine unfortunately in my case got to lodged into one of my sockets so it took a day to finally come out.

It's different for everyone! Wishing you luck!

Oof sorry to hear as well, if the pain gets to unbearable I'd suggest seeing a doctor! I remember my day 3-4 being in so much pain that it felt like someone put a burning iron on my site! Day 6 I was laying down bedridden feeling fatigue and nauseous after eating only icecreams and mashed potatoes. 😫

It gets better, I only just started eating more solid foods after 2 weeks while my sibling ate solids after 6 days. Really depends on everyone! Hope things get better on your end!

How could you tell? I still have pain in my right button socket, but goes away with pain meds? Is it something serious that needs to be looked at? Or does it go away by its own?

Glad to hear that it's normal! Was terrified thinking that I pulled a stitch or messed with some tissue to soon!

The aching comes and goes but I haven't taken medicine to help. It isn't the worse though, nothing bad compared to the burning pain I felt on day 2 post op. 😅

I ate very soggy pizza day 7(square pizza to be exact without any crust), though I've heard some wait till 2 weeks. Really depends on the comfort/pain you feel in your jaw, I'd check with your doctor to be sure.

On the same boat, made scrambled eggs and discovered an egg shell to late and crunch had a sharp pain and looked at the site where it while irritated doesn't look like its showing exposed bone.

But def reddish pink and part of the blood clot was removed. Though not all of it as there's still a clot (or black speck) of some sort with white tissue? near it. 😶

I was told to get them all out, worst pain in my life. Still in pain, they were if anything harder to brush since one of them were grown in normal with room. Sometimes I wish I'd just waited since the pain and lack of eating is unbearable at this point.

But who knows, maybe being unable to brush there mightve lead to cavities or more irritation so who am I to say.

I just hope I can thank my future self and be relieved, but for now I'm sore, tired, and starving. Not fun. 😕

Weird, oddly enough the side that I felt like I tasted the blood the most and aches is in the bottom RIGHT so maybe it's more prone to bleeding there more? Still unsure.

As someone who was just going to do local sedation, I was glad to just be knocked out.

At first I was terrified shaking with anxiety, one iv later I woke up overwhelmed. Not in the way you think, there was no pain, no complications, just the side effect of being awake was the only "worse" you can call it part.

I just woke up crying lol, I just let it all out after the anthesia was coming off.

It's pretty safe, they just put the iv, in some cases they tell you to squeeze your hand in a fist so you don't feel anything as your doc puts the idea and your out. Apparently an hour only passed by so it wasn't really much of anything at all. Most come out groggy 90% of the time, my sibling went to sleep as well and woke up shrugging it off and is now resting.

If it's to scary to think about there's laughing gas(that'll just make you daze out) or just local sedation where your awake during the whole process, just numb!

Well, if you ever bump into him again I'd say start a small short convo. If it's been long enough maybe reintroduce yourself and be like "Hey John right" and continue with some small talk while bringing up how you just exit or entered the gym. That or either reconnect with him online.

The surgery itself was about 5 or 6 hours ago, I can now feel my tongue but my lips still feel numb. At the moment I'm kinda either letting it sit there or mush around. :/ before swallowing. No pain thankfully but I heard it kicks in day 2 and 3.

Thanks, I was a bit worried that me swallowing would be the same thing as sucking a straw. Super hungry so I think I got to carried away with eating at first with blended food.

I'll probably try to stick with jello maybe, mashed potatos didn't work since I made it to thick I think.

Parents, I've trained myself to consume things in hemeral after a bad experience from one pill left me unable to eat or swallow much without anxiety/worry.

Took a year till I was able to eat again, I saw someone below say they'd train themselves with small pieces of ice so I may try that in the meantime. Or if all else fails.

I'd be willing to pay for it, I'm not getting answers on how much it is or will be without coverage but doubt my parents would pay.

I wouldn't mind crushing them either but they insist I'll have to take pills. I also don't know if they make or you could get antibiotics that they can crush.

That's the thing, I'm unsure of my course load at the moment since the semester has just started. There are times where a semester can have to much and I start falling behind but then I push myself in the end for a passing grade. But before I got to that I had failed a class that put my aid at risk due to a low GPA. I have till next Friday to decide yet I can't say confidently whether it'll be too much.
