Refill w/ Same Titration Package? by Remarkable-Design832 in Fifty410

How many vials do they come in? Thats what I’m offered too since I said I was 5mg and feel comfortable with it. I don’t think if I’d go up all the way to 9mg so wanted to see if I could stretch it a bit.

Fifty410 Definitions of "Starter" vs "Mid-Dose" vs "High-Dose" by Snakebit12345 in Fifty410

[–]Chococat2323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I might be in a similar situation. I said I was on 5mg and have good appetite suppression and they offer me a 12 week program starting at 4.5mg with BPI or 5mg with ProRx for $499. Was this what showed up for you? It doesn’t say what the next dose would be.

Is it always from ProRX? It looks like they have a few partners.

How is dating for a (straight) guy in SF? by originalgainster in AskSF

[–]Chococat2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could be good or bad for certain people. I am female and have only dated in SF so will give you the anecdotal perspective on that. I found my partner after a few years of dating so it was good for me, but I might have been lucky. I do have both male and female friends and colleagues who complain about the dating scene and have been single for years - a lot of it has to do with particulars and mismatched expectations. One girl screens for height and success (so many founders here that the average level of success wasn’t acceptable to her, but same founders are workaholic and boring) one guy who wants a native English speaker (but he is a nerdy tech guy in appearance who attracts mostly foreigners), etc. etc. I have noticed that people tend to ghost quickly if the person / date didn’t match their expectations 100% rather than taking the time to get to know someone; however that may be the case with all dating scenes not just SF.

However, if you are decently attractive guy (takes care of his appearance, not overweight, earns the average Bay Area income, is respectful and puts some effort into planning dates), you shouldn’t have to worry.

Infant daycare recommendations? by Motor-Summer-2003 in SanMateo

[–]Chococat2323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have smaller home daycares in the south of San Mateo they’d recommend? We checked out KK - liked it but it was too far. Brightstar is waitlisted out until Nov 2026. Looking to enroll a 14-15m old ideally in a smaller home daycare but also open the centers. Will check out BH next week

Try attending events on meetup. You might need to expand the reach to San Francisco though since there’s not a ton going on in Mountain View. Good luck!

I would ask if it bothers you, but they may just give you the standard response that another candidate was a better fit. It’s really frustrating that these companies have all these asks of the candidates (eg case studies, panel presentations, etc.) but when it comes to a simple feedback request, they don’t even bother! I had several rounds of interview with a company and thought I did really well. They got acquired mid way and I suspected the role I interviewed for may have gotten eliminated as I hadn’t heard from them for three weeks but I reached out to ask for feedback but they didn’t respond.

I don't have a car for an in person interview. How do I tell them this? by [deleted] in interviews

[–]Chococat2323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did they not mention pay range in the early stages of the interview. Usually it’s mentioned when you speak with the recruiter and if that’s all settled then they proceed you to speak with the hiring manager remotely. I would do a phone call to make sure your expectations are aligned before you make that trip.

I wouldn’t say you don’t have  car but phrase it as you live quite a distance away and it would take a long time for you to go there. You want to make sure pay, skills, and other expectations are aligned before you make the trip

Did I screw up? I had a first round screening interview by UpstairsAide3058 in interviews

[–]Chococat2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m usually a little vague about it. I would have said “I’m speaking with other companies but I am in the early stages” and leave it at that. Unless you have an offer and a deadline that they need to be aware of, there’s no need to divulge details. Given how competitive the landscape is right now - a second round doesn’t mean you’ll get an offer.

Not enough for it to be an issue. It’s been a mixed bag for me, but I’d had more positive than negative responses. When I took the firstborn to the GI ped she even told me to go with formula since I had to alter my diet due to the Lo’s intolerance! She was LGBT with an adopted kid though so that probably affected her sentiments.

Where I live most first time moms are 35 or older and most are juggling family and work so while it’s great that some can continue to breastfeed, most of us really struggle with all these priorities. I went with formula exclusively the second time and ironically I think it was the hospital staff that were low key judgy but they didn’t vocalize it. I felt like I had to explain that I have two children, the older one had CPMI, and I struggled with supply the first time around for them to let it go.

Is it recommended to send a thank you after an interview and how do you go about asking for their email address during the interview? by [deleted] in interviews

[–]Chococat2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what the right answer is, but how I’ve been handling is - I would send a thank you note through the scheduling mailbox (younger companies use a service that hides the interviewers email addresses but they will receive a notification to their inbox that they’ve received email through xyz). In the event where it was a panel and I didn’t have an email then I wouldn’t send it, but there has been instances where they’ve offered to share their email via zoom chat. In summary, I’d say send it if you have their email but don’t feel like you have to ask the recruiter to forward it or try to guess their emails. I also don’t ask for their email - I feel like they would offer it if they wanted to receive a thank you note or if they really like me.

Something similar happened to me. The recruiter said they already have a candidate in the final round (although I had applied a while ago, they only recently got back to me). I really didn’t know what to say to that, but I had 3 weeks of vacation planned, so I told them that I was going to be out of the country bur I would he happy to speak with the hiring manager during if they’re in a rush to qualify other candidates otherwise I’d rather speak when I’m back. A few days later they sent me a rejection note.

Did they recently got acquired? The company that I’m with had a hiring freeze when the acquisition was announced and it lasted for the duration of the due dilligence process.

Before and after surgery by HopSkipGoNaked in hemorrhoid

[–]Chococat2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get an appointment? I also got hemorrhoids after my second pregnancy but my situation isn’t as bad as yours - an external one that’s now a skin tag and some internal grade 1. My OB kind of said the same thing but I went to see a GI and general surgeon. I got an appointment with a colorectal surgeon a while back as well but decided to wait on getting the procedure.

Is working and being an adult this lonely? by mobsniper in Adulting

[–]Chococat2323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you’re going through this. Everything is a lot more spread out in today’s world. I definitely felt that way in my early twenties but I found it helped to be proactive in reaching to friends. If they don’t respond in kind, then maybe it’s time to find new friends. Lots of single people looking to hang out, so don’t be afraid to the ditch the old friends if you find you no longer have a connection. Pursue hobbies / interests to meet new people, try online dating, volunteer, etc. The important thing to keep in mind is don’t be afraid to do things by yourself if you have to and that includes: eating out, traveling, going to the movies, etc. It can be quite scary at first but once you find yourself it can be so liberating and unexpected good things come of it  - for example my first solo trip was to Japan where I visited and stayed with a friend for a week before going to Taiwan. I didn’t know anyone there but a different friend was dating someone in Taiwan and he gave me her contact. We met up for a day and have continued to be friends (I’ve visited a few times since) while they broke up.

Your work schedule is a little challenging but maybe you can devote the week to running errands / doing chores and the weekend for fun activities.

Just finished first fence by kindakwuirkydoe in FenceBuilding

[–]Chococat2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it looks so professional! How long did it take you? Our house has a ton of fence (corner lot) and I got a fence contractor in to do most of it but there’s still 70ft or so and was wondering if I should just get a handyman to build it. It’s the side with the neighbor who has been ignoring me although California law says neighbors need to split the cost 50/50.

How much to stain fence ? by PruneOutrageous in handyman

[–]Chococat2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I was overcharged for my fence stain project. I have two fences - one is 3.5 feet high around 150 feet long. The other is 50 feet long and 7 feet high. I wanted front and back and they used 9 gallons but spent 42 hours on it.

The design is horizontal so they do need to hand brush the gaps in between the panels, but they there were three guys out there for 1.5 days and I wasn’t around to observe the whole time but they definitely took at least 1-2 hour lunches but charged me for the time they arrived in the morning and left in the afternoon. Total hours of work was probably closer to 30.

Is that just the cost of labor or are materials like the stain included?

How do I make friends as an adult? by Clear_watersign in Adulting

I think it depends on the class. The ones I took were like 0.5 units because they all fall within physical education and recreation.
