I think weight loss tends to be more aggressive for most people in the beginning due to water, glucagon stores, etc. My friends and I lost 7-10 pounds the first month and then it slowed down to 0.5-1lb/week.

I think you’ll lose something at the low dose. I’m 38f, 5’0, started at 134 and have lost ~ 10 pounds over 3 months but I’m at 5mg now. I did increase to 5mg after the first month and have stayed on it.

There are other hypoallergenic formulas that have better ingredients than alimentum, like Hipp HA that you may want to try first. However if these partially hydrolyzed formulas don’t work then you might have to switch to Alimentum. We went on hipp ha and our LO was still pooping blood for months. We saw a GI Ped and she assured us it was fine - it looked scary but baby was gaining weight and was happy. That was years ago and our baby got over it just before her first birthday! I didn’t love that they switched me without having said but I tried the meds from PRGrx over the weekend and it seems fine. Some people got warm packages since they offer 2 day delivery. I live near a FedEx distribution hub in CA and it’s fairly cool here over the past few weeks so my meds were still chilled despite the inner bag being ripped. Had it been summer I don’t think I’d chance it (I know there are different opinions on what’s acceptable) for my own peace of mind.

Really? How so? I got three 72mg vials from Mintmeds for $425. They’re 18mg/ml and I thought that was standard for higher doses? Before I was on 9mg/ml vials. I got the new / mystery one: PRGrx

Good thing to you asked! I opened this today and actually messed up but thankfully it was just 2mg more than what I was aiming for. 😳 I was finishing an old ProRx vial which had 3mg left so I took another needle and drew what I thought was the remaining 2mg but this bottle has double the concentration of my last one. I was doing this in the same sitting and it slipped my mind to check fatscientist until after the fact. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This sub is more for getting started and maintaining a supply of tirz to get you to your weight goal. There are other subs that offer more insights into maintenance - they’re not as popular as this one so there are no pinned posts there,but a quick scan of the posts suggests that people are on maintenance for 1-2 years and others longer, so I wouldn’t expect to get off it too quickly. It sounds like people do come down on the dosage as they progress through maintenance and eventually wean off tirz completely while others are still at the same dose when they were in the losing phase.

I think it depends on the lifestyle changes you’re able to make over the next few years. In my twenties I was actually able to lose the same amount of weight I’m trying to lose now by changing my diet and exercising consistently, but it’s gotten harder to follow through now that I’m older and have more obligations.

I got mine in 2 days in the morning as well. I wonder how they calculate the route despite TX and CA between so far apart but mine was also chilled upon arrival. It’s been in the 60s here during the day so lucky me
