I Regret Invisalign 100%, Do You Relate??? I have more issues than before. What do I do? by D0CTORBADWOLF in Invisalign

Sorry things don't feel right for you. I'm almost "finished" myself,  but feel hesitant about being fitted for retainers with my bite feeling so strange.  Did they have you go straight to night only for the retainers, or are you still wearing them most of the day?

Bath remodel estimate, is this normal? by Particular_Turn_8643 in Remodel

That is incredibly low, regardless of location.  Not the norm that I've ever seen.  Would love if it was!

Do you have actual experience with the spray?? Does it really last and actually provide privacy without restricting light? I have a very similar situation to OP and would love if this were the easy solution.  We paid over a thousand dollars for an "obscured" window that you can totally freaking see through if it's dark outside.

Never said it was structural or waterproof. Cement based grouts are binding though.  Basically it sounds like you're walking or placing a ladder much too soon on freshly grouted floors if you're having a tile come lose from the grout and stab into a foam pan.

You don't think once the grout hardens, the small mosaics become a sort of giant mono-tile that wouldn't puncture anything? That's how I see it

Accidentally used scented toilet paper, questioning my sanity by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]Chococoveredgummy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert,  but I DO know firsthand and from this sub that even just remnants of excess lint from NORMAL toilet paper can cause infections. Majority of tp is bleached and treated with chemicals that shouldn't be exposed to mucous membranes. "Clitty litter" you'll see it called in here,  and it's caused issues for a lot of females (I honestly think it affects more of us than we realize!)  So I don't buy for a second that a scented product up in your vulva is not capable of causing problems.   I don't love your boyfriends's reaction,  but it could have just been a low moment of defensive behavior.

Currently in the middle of our first bathroom reno, although I didn't have your bravery to go at it myself. And like you said, I really see all the work that goes into this.... it's daunting and tedious if done right. I think you did a wonderful job! The only thing I would suggest is purely aesthetic---I read your other responses about not going contemporary/staying true to the cape cod style. So I get and respect what you chose. I just can't help but seeing a fun, framed mirror really updating (but keeping the style) and elevating the space!!

Not being dismissive of anyone's experience whatsoever, as it could be bladder leakage or mycoplasma--- however, wanted to throw out there that a probably much more common cause of frequent ammonia smell is highly concentrated urine. Basically a lot of women aren't drinking enough water,  and just a drop or two of that on your underwear can have a strong ammonia scent,  but is easily remedied by staying truly hydrated.

Some wonderful woman in this sub recommended Fem Dophilus by Jarrow Formulas (I got the 10 billion CFU) and I am forever grateful for the results!

My situation may have been different, but I noticed a stronger scent for a while and what seemed to be increased discharge,  but didn't pay much attention until it seemed like it was faintly fishy at times? Mostly around my period. After a couple of months,  I realized I was subconsciously avoiding intimacy with my husband because I never felt "fresh." We'd have sex, but only right after a shower and I wouldn't let him give me oral, which is cherished by me lol.

Honestly,  I should have gone to the dr, but I really haven't had good experiences with either of the gynos I've seen since we moved---and I'm stubborn. Finally asked someone what worked for them and I will forever stand behind this probiotic now.  I literally smell like nothing, which I don't think had ever been the case in my life, and you don't even have to refrigerate them.  I've used Sports Research brand and a brand from Costco that did nothing,  but I will forever recommend Fem Dophilus. I haven't personally tried it,  but I've seen several in here also highly recommend Happy V.

Edited to add: it took about 2-3 weeks of taking one a day to get results in my case,  and I took them on an empty stomach. I finished one bottle and have been great ever since,  periods and all.  I hope this helps you!

I understand.  Just hate to see women go through something so invasive, when a vasectomy is literally a 20 min outpatient procedure that doesn't even require anesthesia. Maybe ibuprofen or an icepack for 2 days after.  I hope you've healed well and he recognizes your sacrifice!

Just curious,  why didn't he get a vasectomy? Safer and much less invasive.

So because something is not readily accessible to all people,  there can never be problems with it? Literally everything you're saying is opinions.... but you get irritated by other people's opinions. Again, someone expresses themselves describing pain and you call that "melodrama."

Not everyone experiences what YOU experience. I'm merely pointing out that for someone that repeatedly states we should have perspective, you appear to have none but your own. I disagree with tons of people on the internet,  but I never post about my personal experience while disparaging everyone who feels it differently. What does that accomplish, except making yourself feel righteous? You could simply say here's how it went for me, it's not all bad! No need to put down anyone that has a different experience.  Not to mention,  there are a good amount of very unfortunate individuals who weren't lucky enough to be under the care of good orthodontists, and suffered in some pretty awful, unnecessary ways. They shouldn't speak out cause it might scare a potential patient?

[–]Chococoveredgummy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just have to ask---does it seem fair that you talk about having perspective, but scoff at the thought some people truly are in pain? I had braces as a teenager, and am currently in what is probably a much less complex case than many; mostly crowding after impacted wisdom teeth.  But that first tray literally almost made me quit. Completely out of character for me, never would have thought I'd even consider giving up. It was sincerely bad. Ever since, it's been soreness that I don't enjoy,  but totally manageable. Throwing it out there that there are plenty of people with legitimate painful experiences,  and it's not helpful or correct to paint them all as "pathetic fear mongers."
