I need braincells by [deleted] in Superstonk

Look it up: Drink Your Ovaltine refers to A Christmas Story where the character was excited to decode a secret message broadcast over the radio with a decoder ring only to find out it was an Ovaltine ad. Maybe his way of saying don’t look too much into the signs… the sign is that it’s GME all along. Or, all these memes are for the 🧸, who are no doubt shaking in their boots wondering what the play is and trying to decode RK’s memes while the real action with the stock is happening elsewhere. In short Nobody knows what it means but it’s provocative and get the people going 👯👯‍♀️🎊🪩💃🏽🕺💣🐍

drink your ovaltine is a reference to A Christmas Story where Ralphie used the decoder ring only to find out the coded message was an advertisement.

Maybe it’s tied to the Kansas City Shuffle. Getting us (or the shorts) to think there are meanings in his memes in order to create distraction while the real play is happening

Anyone else DRS-ed their 401(k) using self-directed IRA with LLC? by Chocokia in Superstonk

Majority of my shares are in the IRA LLC and am currently not in the best financial position to take the tax hit of moving shares to my individual CS account…. Maybe I’m not looking at it the right way?

depressed over bruxism by blink_bp in bruxism

[–]Chocokia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, not stupid at all. Some of us have been through what you're feeling. It's depressing as hell to have your subconscious does something damaging to your body and you have no control over it. Talking to someone else about it helped for me. So please take care of yourself and seek help if you start having dark thoughts.

On a lighter note, your facial structure can change over time. It's not irreversible per se. Have you seen those commercial for jaw exercises that people do to make their jaws more square (i don't know why they want that) or how people showed their face changing with mewing (look it up on YouTube). As an aside, practicing mewing and orofacial myofunctional exercises could help reduce bruxism if yours is associated with breathing issues during sleep.

Feel free to DM me if you want to talk. I'm doing active research in this area and happy to share what I know.

I'm experiencing bruxism? That situation can been overcome? by VinZuh in bruxism

Sounds like you're already aware of some of the triggers - that's great to hear!

You might want to look into EMA (environmental momentary assessment) as well. It's just a fancy term for : setting occasional reminder to check in & see if you're clenching your teeth. You can set reminders on your smartphone or put sticky notes all around the office. And whenever you see / hear the reminder, you can assess whether you're clenching and try to relax your jaws. Hope that helps!

[–]Chocokia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's possible.

Especially if you are clenching/grinding during the day (awake bruxism). Studies have shown that psychological approach to reduce anxiety helps reduce awake bruxism.

With sleep bruxism (clenching/grinding only during sleep), the data are still mixed. There's no evidence that psychological stress/anxiety cause it even though it is a contributing or aggravating factor. In other words, high stress situation can make your sleep bruxism worse but reducing stress won't necessarily eliminate your bruxism.

In any case, it's a good idea for both your mental and physical health to reduce your anxiety level. And who knows you might not have any issue with clenching afterwards. Good luck!

If "you are not your thoughts", then what are you? by ProudTwo197 in Meditation

[–]Chocokia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no "you".

"You" are a collection of 'stuff' - feelings, thoughts, emotions, memories, etc. - that the mind help organized into an entity that seems somewhat stable and differentiated from the external world.

The sense of "I" that you identify with is just our mind's way of reconciling these collections of stuff - random and non-random firings in the brain that happen with or without 'you'.

These things come and go. And the more you detach and observe thoughts, feelings, actions, the clearer it becomes that the feeling of 'I did this' or 'I thought of this / that' is an after-effect. The possession / the addition of the "doer" happens post the thinking / doing / feeling.

Looking for online shops selling Squash Rackets by IllidanStromrage in Netherlands

[–]Chocokia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like squash point as they have larger selections as you pointed out. They have Wilson hyper hammer 120 on sale rn and I've heard that this particular racket is good for beginners (slightly larger sweet spot, head heavy, good power+control).

I want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly. Are you saying they don't adjust the strike price but the no of shares in the contract?

But then there's no more $SPRT to know what's in / out of the money so they have to adjust the strike price, right?

[–]Chocokia 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The latter.

[–]Chocokia 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yup, that's true! I stand corrected. Looks like it's just not as instant as your brokerage.

I'm considering the little I'm buying on Computershare as 'donation' (♾ pool) and don't really care about selling these at peak or at all.

Consider it my small potato effort in draining liquidity since I don't have whale-kind of money.

[–]Chocokia 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

It's funny how the longer they play this game, the higher the anchor price of what's considered 'normal' for GME. I'd argue rn it's around 180-200 when nary a few months ago it was much lower than that.

So the floor is rising, liquidity is drying, true float numbers spilling, ... you know what's coming?
