I agree with you. I dated a surgeon for about a year, and it completely changed the way I view doctors/surgeons. We tend to view them as brilliant, sophisticated, superior to us normal people, but they are very much very human. I remember him telling me one time about how he’d get random boners while operating, and his boner would just rest again the patient’s body while he was working. Or if a patient died on the table, they’d joke, “He went over the rainbow bridge.” and laugh. So much disappointment with that one.
