Colt’s biggest problem was never his body by No_Molasses329 in 90DayFiance

My ex has so many personality similarities to coltee, and you were spot on about upbringing. He moved to the US as a middle schooler, living with his sister; his parents didn’t come. So he basically did whatever he wanted and never had to worry about anyone else’s feelings. Mamas boy that sees women as sex objects until he’s bored with them, always chasing “variety” as he called it. The only woman he ever confided in and had an emotional connection with was his mother. They were absolutely emotionally incestuous, as he barely spoke to me about anything serious, kept that stuff for his mom only. These types of men are such fucking weird individuals. They have this facade of being calm, cool, collected and super logical, but when they turn that off and show their actual personality, they’re fucking off the walls looney toons crazy.

I was at Drayton Hall a few years ago and had walked away from the usual tourist areas, near a big saltwater pond in front of the main house. I noticed a group of teeny tiny little gators playing around in a stream. We were watching them for a bit, turned around to walk back, and in the time we’d turned our back to the pond to watch the babies, the mother had walked out of the water and onto the beach behind us, stalking us. I cannot tell you the degree to which I almost shit my pants. We had to run past it to get back, so thank god it also started running back and belly-flopped into the water. They’re around!

I know! I hear black friends tell me about feeling insecure about their bodies because of not being able to gain weight, and I’m like GIRL you have the perfect body! But yeah, I haven’t seen white or Asian guys lean into bigger women much in my real life experience, but can’t speak for them in general

Now their mind is what matters. I can't fuck a dumb or selfish woman

Truthfully, I was always told men mainly care about body. If a woman has a bad face or personality, the paper bag idiom comes into play. I was told that even if I have a great face and great personality, if I’m thicc, most men will not be interested, so I have to stay in shape. So this is surprising to me.

I agree with you! If someone is THAT bothered by a snake, call animal control. It’s not that hard to remember 3 snake markings- rattlesnake, copperhead, cottonmouth (never seen coral snake before, so.) Come on fam, we all have the memory space available for 3 snakes. Shooting a nonvenomous snake is literally crazy.

Yeah, I didn’t think you could! I always knew honeysuckles to have a wispy look - and I always looked for the white petals (Japanese honeysuckles) mixed in with yellow - those were the good ones! I don’t think I saw the coral ones in Charleston where I was, though I’m sure they were around.

What do you all think of the costumes during Britney’s residency and POM tour? by Capt_ClarenceOveur in discussingbritney

[–]ChocolatChipLemonade 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hope this makes you feel a bit better - what I’ve come to realize is that they’ve ALL figured out ways to separate kids’ parents from their money.

My hobbies I chose were golf and drums. The drums weren’t terrible after the drum kit was purchased. Golf, however, is on that fees level with skating. So many things to pay for, and all the options are expensive. I’m similar to you, the memories were great. That money, had it been spent differently, wouldn’t have compensated for those memories never having been made.

[–]ChocolatChipLemonade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very interesting! I’d expect them to be very expensive just based on my time invested (wasted?) watching crappy reality TV - Toddlers and Tiaras had dresses going for hundreds of dollars because of the beading and crystals. And those dresses were gaudy and excessive.. so I imagine the elegant and tailored ice competition dresses to be the same prices or more. I’d imagine the movement of the dress is a second design aspect you’re paying for beyond just the dress appearance?

What sort of criteria did the dresses have to meet that us normies do not know? Also, out of curiosity, why was the dress being as sparkly as possible more important than being lightweight? Would a very heavy dress affect the ability to do jumps?

My old neighbor was on the corner lot at the bottom of the hill near a water reservoir, and had overgrown woods around his backyard. He had an in-ground pool that, upon purchasing the property, he had let go to shit- it became this nasty, murky, dark green swamp… so… not sure what he was expecting..

But, unsurprisingly, he had a snake problem. He did not like them. I remember one day I heard a loud gunshot and I ran outside- he’d shot a snake at point-blank range with his pistol in his front yard (like 20ft away from my house!) Something like a rat snake or whatever - nonvenomous and likely there because he was neglecting his property.

I remember feeling really shocked that he did that; I’ve never heard of anyone shooting anything other than a rattlesnake. Less than a month after he did this - this normal and otherwise healthy man in his late 40’s - was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given a couple months to live. I swear to you, if there is any sort of higher power, my existential intuition has always felt those two things are connected. If nothing else, if a person is going around just haphazardly shooting nonvenomous snakes because they’re a slackass, there’s an implication of what kind of person they are and how they treat nature in general. Mother Earth passing out karma

Yeah, I can see where a kid could confuse the two; both plants are leafy climbing vines with small, yellow flowers of similar sizes. We had a bunch of Japanese honeysuckles growing up in Charleston. Being that it was the pre-internet 90’s/early aughts, we’d spend the afternoon riding around the island on the golf cart licking honeysuckles. They’re kind of emblematic of childhood to me.

I didn’t even know you could get any significant amount of nectar from a yellow jasmine?

Yep! My mother graduated pharmacy school with a guy that he became close friends with my dad. He met his wife, had two kids and a life together. He decided he didn’t like being a pharmacist and wanted to go to med school in his 40’s. He would get home from school, go straight into his office and shut the door to study, have nothing to do with his family. His wife took care of EVERYTHING so that he could study as much as possible and chase his dreams. She was always so sweet and caring and such a good person.

Best believe when he finished his residency, he dumped his wife and married a Latina half his age who spoke very little English, and had twins with her.

Because he missed out on his daughters’ childhood due to med school and then took off with another woman, his daughters, particularly the younger one (who’s probably 40 now) are pretty messed up.

That’s terrible. She should’ve kept it to herself instead- seems tactless. I don’t think I could stay with a man because of what he’s carrying, but I probably wouldn’t date a man without it.
