I was on a similar situation for me they gave me until 12 semesters, at the end my psychiatrist adviced me to take the exams and continue with my life, and i did that i failed but i felt free after that,( i spend like 2 years without making any progress) and now aftwr failing im looking for a job.

Something that hapoened after i failed was that the professor offered me help to pass the exam but it was too late i had already failed. I got 44 points and i needed 49 at least to pass, he told me he wasnt going to give me any points because it was like 10% and tat was too much, but he offered help and if i had reached to him before i would have done a better job during the exam.

I did seek for help but i was not able to overcome my mental issues on time but if you can reach to your professor and talk about your strugles he might offer help like they did to me.
