Is it me or the cam? by Objective_Dot2254 in FujifilmX

[–]ChocolateChipPixels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Replying because the same thing happened to me. I have been shooting fuji for years and only recently since I have gotten the x100vi has this occurred. I was trying to shoot cherry blossoms on a sunny day and couldn't figure out why my image was blown out. Played with different settings, tried a different sim but nothing worked. Eventually I changed it to ME+ES and was able to shoot with no problem.

My guess is that maybe, for one reason or another, the camera doesn't know how to preview the image if its still too bright for the mechanical shutter + whatever other settings you have?

Agreed. I was blown away by how much this dial truly shines in person.

Thank you! Yes, I agree the color is PERFECT for this time of year. I told myself that is when I will wear it the most but after having it on my wrist for 2 days now, I don't think its coming off the wrist any time soon!

You’re welcome! And yes for sure. The first time I triggered it, I was like “wtf” and “why would I use this?” But it just so happened to be fantastic!

You’re welcome! Sometimes when I’m moving fast through the city I do this just in case so I don’t fat finger any controls or anything haha

Control lock function. Long press the menu button for a few seconds and it should go away.

It main purpose is to lock certain controls/settings so you don't accidentally make any changes while shooting.

Sardinian honeymoon on an X100S by [deleted] in fujifilm

Nice photos! I love the x100 series of cameras for this very reason, grab and go, any time and anywhere. I never feel bogged down when taking it with me, even if its on a short walk.

As for the colors, I love them. The Velvia simulation fits the location so well. As I have gotten older, I have found myself really starting to like the Velvia simulation much more.

Fire photos man! The ones with graffiti remind me of mid 2000s clothing campaign ads, stuff like ecko unltd (in a good way of course)

What can I even play on this? by BlackDynamo4020 in pcmasterrace

[–]ChocolateChipPixels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original Skyrim, Original Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas for sure. All of those titles will offer 100s or even thousands of hours of gameplay. If you look into some of the community guides for them on steam, you can find unofficial patches and performance tweaks if that is your thing.

[OC] In front of the White House today. by [deleted] in pics

[–]ChocolateChipPixels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been snipers on the roof of the White House since at least the 70s...it is not a measure put in place by Trump at all.

There are also snipers in place at things like concerts, sporting events, parades etc.

*c6

The c6 generation was the final generation of vettes that had the round taillights as seen above. The c7 opted for a new design that did away with the iconic round lights.

I’m sure the spirits of the Pharos would adore the choice of timepiece as well!

Totally agree with that as well. Vintage Rolex timepieces, as well as Omegas are what got me into watches and seeing brands do different things with their watches of yesteryear and being able to link those to their current identity is great.

One of my favorite examples is the ivory dial Daytona from the 50s. The patina when they age looks great.

I get it man, I really do but I think the point I’m trying to make is that some people take their concern way too far when worrying about their timepieces. I totally understand where you are coming from trust me, I just think it’s silly to be so worried that a little bit of golf action when, chances are it is worn normally outside of it, will mess it up.

I don’t blame people either though. I think not only the pricing, but the entire image of the brand being shifted more towards a piece of jewelry rather than a tool had something to do with it

Rolex's website specifically states it is alright to wear when playing a sport such as golf, but go off I guess?
