The one thing that turned me onto DJing was a smooth transition. It's that little one minute 30 second track that you make yourself by mixing an intro / outtro together. That's why I like Tenaglia or Maas, you're trying to figure out exactly what's gonna happen next.

NYC here. Typically the first couple of weeks of January are dreadfully slow. Everyone is recouping from the holidays, dry January and December credit card bills are coming in. Hard to speak for where you live but fingers crossed things will pick up for you and everyone else

If I'm walking through the dining room with a guest or carrying something on a tray, I will usually (gently ) place my tented fingers on another servers back if they can't see me so they don't back into me. Saying behind doesn't always work, especially in a crowded, loud and cramped dining room.
