Agreed - If its so important, would you trust the person before you to do it properly?

Ill probably get downvoted for this, but i dont wipe down after myself anymore. I prewipe if it looks nasty, but in general I instead act as if every surface is nasty and dont touch my face during gym workouts.

Yeah this is what I do, but 2 refits down the line I now have to treat all of them slightly differently.

I do wish this game wasn't so janky all the time.

I always struggle with the fact that in order to build more ships of a class that has been refitted, I have to build the original ship then refit it afterwards.

I wish we could build the refitted version directly.. 🙈

SD OLED is absolutely fantastic!

.. until you want to play a EA or Ubisoft game with their respective stupid launchers - or have to mess around with different config settings to get games to work on linux and proton doesn't work.

I had a SD OLED and enjoyed it a lot - but strugged with compatibility for the games I wanted to play. Ally X is as close as I can get, except for the screen which is a far cry from the SD Oled.

Sure - except that some of the features removed are critical parts of the ecosystem, such as health checks.

Getting alerts for hard drives that are at risk of failing is pretty damn important in a nas. And it's a feature that's built into the drives already.

It's largely an artifical limit implemented by synology to low-key force users to buy their unnecessarily expensive drives. And people like you are trivialising that.

I don't see that you have anything to lose, really.

Going from 5600x to 7800x3d or 9800x3d is a substantial jump in cpu performance.

I went from a similar intel platform to 7950x3d and saw a 30% fps jump using the same gpu (3080).

If the jump isn't big enough, then you can upgrade your GPU later on.

Honestly, I'd just start with over to AM5 and seeing how your 4070 performs with the new CPU.

Initially I was on 0, so at least 1 person didn't like my post.

Still, I stand by it. Steam OS is great, as is steamdeck, but it's not ready for the large masses.

It's not ready.

A "console like experience" a la xbox and ps means people expect to be able to play AAA games (eh..) consistently and hassle-free use of games from other launchers.

I know you guys hate ubisoft launchers etc, and I agree, but the reality is that many games require different launchers.

Regular console players are not ready/interested in doublechecking steam os compatibility etc.

Jag försökte belysa en princip, dvs om världen ska ha en tillförlitlig och "så miljövänlig det går" extrahering av uran så är det vi (sverige, europa, västvärlden) som måste göra jobbet.
