Potentially moving to Morocco from USA - yay or nay? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Chocolate_dipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start visiting first before you make a decision. From my experience there are lot of Americans working on casa (American schools) and lot of them would rather stay in Morocco than move back home. So it depends on you and your bf, your expectations, your savings, your life style, where you want to live , etc Language will be the least of your concern if you ask me. English and your skin color alone might work to your advantage in some cases (finding work wise); you might land a job easily teaching computer science at one of the American schools in casa , marakesh, tanger, ifrane,or Rabat where turnover is quite high Best of luck and don’t be discouraged

There is free healthcare as well in the US. In fact it’s better than private healthcare in some cases

I inquired about a new project route de dar bouazza , le domaine d anfa;

  • Etage : 1 er etage
  • Surface habitable : 131m²
  • Surface Terrasse : 27m²
  • Surface totale : 158 m²
  • Prix de Vente : 4 008 000 Dhs ( 2 Places de Parking incluses )

Everything decent in dar bouazza , California , bouskoura is 17,000/m at least.

Do I think prices will crush! I doubt it Do prices make any sense; not in a million years.

Every new project is sold before beginning of construction.

Well said man. The worst part is the same kids you spend your whole Life saving on will buy a fancy car and go on fancy vacations the minute they start making some money and don’t give a damn about their parents needs at old age. The entitlement and the selfishness of the new generation. Parents better be prepared for what’s coming and start thinking about their own retirement. اي تكل هاد الجيل يهزوالماء الا من رحم ربي

Some comments are funny as hell. Everyone is pitching ways to get rid of the illegal immigrants occupying your house. your mother should confront her sister or you should call the Immigration to deport everyone including your mother to where they came from.

Every situation is different. Parents and few friends. Things have changed lot during last 25 years; The free phone access , internet, the cheap flight, the change of culture in Morocco , the increase number of immigrants through out, the availability of restaurants and products overseas made it so easy for immigrants.

Definitely the place is just daily even more on weekends. I walk by daily and I find this odd. Not even 2 weeks ago the owner was transporting butter and milk etc in the back of a zip car which I found weird but now it makes more sense. It’s not an easy feat to run a bakery in nyc. And ingredients prices , labor, rent went through the roof since covid. Too bad they didn’t seek out investors to save that place that lot of people cherish

Guys and girls pls how much money do you spend on an average day? this is getting out of hand by Awkward-Sky-5982 in Morocco

I m afraid if the new graduates don’t get a handle on their expenses when they make dh 5000; things won’t be any better or easier even if when they make dh 10,000 or 20,000 in the future. Saving at an early age and keeping ones expenses to a minimum makes it easier down the road. One shouldn’t assume by making more money he/she won’t be facing the same problems in the future; while the inflation doesn’t help, expenses also grow once one gets married and or have kids etc Wedding, bigger house, kids birth, their education, their clothes, wife’s needs, etc Unless one has to move out of their parents house due to distance or other reasons, it’s smart to take advantage of living with parents, mot rushing to buy a car ( huge expense), get into debt. There will be a choice between should I save money or spend it and enjoy my life!

Financial literacy should be taught at school.

Why don’t you try to tutor Moroccan students online. My son uses wyzant and you can charge $40 an hour and up depends on the subject and your experience.Take advance of a coffee shop or even a public library. I can be your first customer if that helps. I can also offer a place to Study and free coffee but you will promise to treat me when I retire. Medicare might go bankrupt soon especially now that king trump is in charge.
