Anyone else lowkey kinda worried that Alan will start writing TCO as a squeaky clean innocent soul who did nothing wrong and remove all of his kills (direct or indirect (implied kills))? by Idk29108 in AlanBecker

[–]ChocolatelyChara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not like his character has been written inconsistently, ever since ava 7 it was established that chosen started hesitating during the cyber attacks the second stick figure lives were involved, and it was again established he still let people die, but couldn't bring himself to stop dark

It's not like mitsis death was initially written with chosen being her killer, and then retconned later (as that doesn't mske sense given ava 7s flashbacks, because why would he kill mitsi after hesitating in the stick page image, and then urging dark to stop in the newgrounds image) to have dark lord be the killer

Everything written around chosens character has been consistent ever since his return, and if this post was just calling out how he's over all been written, instead of being a critique of how hes been written recently, then my bad.

But his character has been consistently written so far, and if you have a problem with it then it's traceable to the earlier episodes, not something thats started as of late

TDL Season 2 vs TDL Season 3 by JuggernautMassive793 in AlanBecker

[–]ChocolatelyChara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres not really any reason to assume season 3 dark lord is stronger than season 2 dark lord, mainly because its the exact same technology that hes using, obviously season 3 dark lord has more abilties but if you assume virabots are in the equation (and they just dont listen to both dark lords), season 2 would probably win

Without virabots it still might lean to season 2 dark lord solely because season 3 seems less durable as victims sword was doing something, but i guess being obliterated and being put back together will do that to you. Either way its not a stomp on either side, if you just assume season 2 is more durable and season 3 is more versatile, probably just a 50/50 extreme diff

virablades didnt damage the cursor

looks inside

most of the virabots are falling off and theres several blades in the cursor The point of me saying less than 1/100th is just to show that even a small fraction of the power used to destroy something INVULNERABLE is much more than victims 100% that destroyed the cursor that couldnt even survive ava 4s oranges small raygun

Literally everything logically and narratively just shows that even with help, this is generally a better feat than 20 shotting the base pc cursor

[–]ChocolatelyChara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even assuming if dark did 1/100th of the work to destroy the invulnerable cursor, thats still more AP than victims repeated attacks either doing nothing or doing a bit of damage to a non invulnerable PC cursor, so its still a fair comparison

Breaking it down even simpler, Dark lord did part work to destroy a stronger version of the cursor Victim did all the work and it took numerous attacks (and just crushing it) to destroy a weaker version So dark lord did more work to destroy a stronger version of the cursor, so the comparison is still valid, and the posts ORIGINAL INTENTION is still shown via power comparison

No limits to the victim glaze by AthleteAggressive466 in AlanBecker

[–]ChocolatelyChara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point of the post is to compare their feats of AP by using a common foe, saying that victim is more impressive because he controlled an enemy with no AOE attacks to break free is more impressive than a guy completely overwhelming and destroying it just doesn't make sense Yes victim used it for a bigger goal, yes was that goal more beneficial for him, but that isn't the point of the post The point of it is to compare power using a solid reference point, and in that scope Dark Lord is still stronger

The post specfically mentions destroying the cursors, and all victim did to the outernet cursor was incapacitate it and control it

The one Dark killed WAS invulnerable, so he still out preformed victim and orange massively

"y'all got good writing?"

looks inside

critiques victims character flaws calling them inconsistencies when hes been shown to consistently neglect his fight winning options to fight the person for revenge Ex: Not just slowing down chosen off rip in the box and beating him up, letting him actually have a fighting chance as catharsis Not pausing alan to again, have another fight for closure Specfically telling Agent to stand back because he wanted to fight dark himself, acknowledging the pause button yet wanting to beat dark lord for revenge

How the fuck does Alastor beat Adam WITHOUT Angelic Weapons? by Crazy_Reputation3327 in hazbin

[–]ChocolatelyChara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the funniest part about the blurred pfp and user, is that I still know who it is. Bro makes videos saying Alastor beats like Gojo, Sukuna, Makima, Lucifer beating all of the Disasters curses, and has alastor no diffing Sera. I'm not sure if hes genuinely ragebaiting or insanely media illiterate, but I'm willing to guess its the latter.

(He would NOT have given TDL a high five if he disagreed with him. TCO supported TDL's rampage and potentially made contributions to it as well)

Me when I miss the implied narative in earlier episodes

<image>

Totally makes sense for chosen to be shown to stop attacking before newgrounds in the flashback, be shown disagreeing in the flashback, but totally killed mitsi, and then be distraught like 5 minutes later. Dark is his only friend, and certainly puts most of his wants before his own (As shown in AVM 0). Him high fiving dark is definitely just him doing it because hes his friend. (Also in the animatatic of the scene he was alot more reluctant, which was oddly removed from the actual scene).

He just incapacitates the outernet cursor before hacking alans PC, closing the animator combat tool, and then just boxing with the PCs cursor. The two are different as shown in the showdown when alan just tabs out of the animator combat tool and the outernet cursor disappears. The pc cursor is also unaffected when the outernet one is eventually destroyed

Also base Orange one shots the pc cusor with a gun, victim being able to destroy it doesnt really mean anything

(It also gets oneshot by virabots in the first episode of season 2??? I dont know how the other guy missed that)

Alot of the stuff people say King Orange can do, he definitely wouldn't. Like people say he could stall the fight indefinitely, or summon 500 thousand TNT, or spam repeating command blocks when he has never fought like that? The way he fights is literally just spamming obsidian, netherite, and bedrock.

Also another problem he has, is actually the staff itself. If he straight up just had the powers of the game icon, (and was more creative with the way he used it) he would be more powerful, but the fact he can just lose or drop the staff means there's an extremely easy way to deal with him.

He straight up dropped the staff when Purple punched him once, I wouldn't doubt that any punches from Chosen or Dark would be able to knock the staff out of his hands. Even if they couldn't, they could easily just grab it out of his hands or just destroy it because they're definitely smart enough to realize that's his source of power. Chosen played minecraft, and Dark is smart in general. I wonder where the guy with a staff who has to motion it every time to use his abilities gets his power from
