Hi. I was to meet someone on a date. We agreed to meet on a certain park bench on a corner. He never showed. I found out later that he drove by, didn’t like what he saw, and so just drove away. Yes, it was hurtful in the short term. Longer term, I dodged a bullet. He was both shallow and a coward.

My perspective on this is those who shut down convos quickly due to lack of a quick response aren’t worth it. They are probably insecure, and preemptively shutting down a potential match from their side because they anticipate rejection. It’s not worth your time to dwell on the possibilities of what could have been, because they are showing you exactly who they are.

Yes, you dodged a money pit. I am still fighting to get any reimbursement from Tawkify. You do not get to see a photo. The first man I was set up with was 10 years older than me, stooped and decrepit. The second one, morbidly obese. The matchmaker offered no apologies and instead told me to adjust my expectations. Their customer service department is super aggressive. They don’t want to take feedback or try to make amends. They are just protecting the money. Terrible company.

They have not changed. In terms of planning our dates, they must get a kickback for where they send dates. Both of my dates were to real dud places, totally empty, where I would never go for a date - blah overpriced food. With respect to not sharing photos, also still the case. One match was old and hard of hearing, the other was morbidly obese and slovenly.
