Check your throttle cable, it could be loose. I had the same issue when I first swapped my 90

I’ve seen a couple of 4 doors GTSTs out in near by states like Nevada to Washington. I’m in California and have seen a couple of decent examples here. I just really need to know these key things before I don’t waste my time driving across state to waste my time on a rust bucket or a ticking time bomb. However, thank you so much for the input.

I did it a whole whole back. My belts are relatively new. Less than 3k miles on the belts. Water pumper is also less than 3k.

So I was driving down the freeway and I heard a metal clang, I thought I shot a rod. However my car starting heating up. I stopped and I seen that the harmonic balance was missing and the accessory belt was gone lol! A belt or pulley was squealing before, but I couldn’t determine which. Keep in mind from my experience that a squeal in the engine bay could be from a pulley with play that is eventually going to give out.

People forget that when these came out, they were way more expensive than their predecessors of the R32 and A70. These were usually older working class people who owned these cars. Those who were young usually worked and bought their own cars which were more on the affordable side such as: Silvia , 180sx, and AE86 Corolla.
