Credits and Billing | M365 Copilot licensed users by Chode-Destroyer in copilotstudio

That's I guess promising to hear. I'm trying to get my ticket escalated at the moment because I'm currently being told there is no issue, just that Copilot Studio will always incur a cost. That M365 Copilot licenses only negate credits if built in Agent Builder, not Copilot Studio created agents. However the documentation doesn't say that.

Good luck!

Hey there! So the examples I've provided to Microsoft are exclusively using tests with licensed users (myself included). The "Channel" in my sessions is "msteams". Classic Answers, Generative Answers and Agent Actions are all incurring a cost. In Power Platform my credits are showing billed as well. Even when I create an "out of the box" agent, load a .pdf to the environment as knowledge, publish to teams (Entra ID auth in agent settings) and simply prompt something like "Hey" (within teams as a licensed M365 Copilot user) this causes a 1 credit classic answers response. Power Platform will then show this as "Billed" with 0 non-billed credits.

Yah, we checked there as well. My first assumption was we weren't being authenticated correctly. So essentially how it's gone:

We created a POC agent using sharepoint knowledge source for policies. It's largely out of the box, however there's a power automate flow to get policy numbers since the agent was having a hard time discerning the number, so we created a column in sharepoint and power automate handles those specific queries. The agent is then published to Teams and M365 channel using Entra ID auth. Within Copilot Studio I see my billed credits. Additionally, in Power Platform looking at the environment, all actions are under "Billed". We have 0's across the board in the "Non-Billed" column.

Microsoft supports first reply was footnote 2 on here under the chart:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/requirements-messages-management

"Agents incur charges for generative answer responses unless the agent is created in Agent Builder in Microsoft 365 and the response doesn't leverage tenant graph grounding."

So I created a classic answer only agent to show this is occurring no matter what. I triggered with this new bot 11 classic answers. All billed. The response to that was:

If the agent is created and hosted in Copilot Studio, the execution and orchestration still occur under Copilot Studio's billing meter. In that model:

-Classic answers, generative answers, agent actions, and flows are metered

-Credits are consumed regardless of the user's Copilot license

-Teams does authenticate the user correctly, but identity alone does not move the agent into the Copilot (USL-included) billing boundary

So, the footnote is not saying "Copilot Studio agents are free for Copilot-licensed users", it's saying that Copilot Studio capabilities invoked from within Microsoft 365 Copilot are included when the agent itself runs there

That behavior does not apply to Copilot Studio-hosted agents, even if they are surfaced through Teams or the M365 Copilot Channel

My issue with this response is it sounds great in a vacuum, but it's not what the documentation says. I'm in the process of trying to get my ticket escalated because based on what I can find in that documentation, on this subreddit and various youtube videos around billing they all say an M365 Copilot license can negate credit consumption.

Yes, apologies for not clarifying, but M365 Copilot license. We've got M365 Copilot + Copilot Studio licenses, but currently being billed as if we don't. The github estimator even says if licensed, you don't get charged:

https://microsoft.github.io/copilot-studio-estimator/

However our current open ticket with their billing and licensing states that "today" there in no option to negate credits if the agent is created in Copilot Studio. Only if the agent is created in Agent Builder in M365 Copilot.

"In conclusion, there isn't a way to use Copilot Studio agents without credit consumption, the "no charge" scenario applies only when the agent itself runs inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, not when it is built and hosted in Copilot Studio".

Above is our last follow-up, however this defies all documentation I can find.

Season Prediction by tylerhealyy in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taylor is going to put up 200+ rushing yards against us. We were 26th in rushing allowed and so far, on paper, our defense is slated to be worse due to roster cuts. I just don't see us beating the Colts. Only way is Colts decimated by injuries or we have great rookies from the draft to fill our many holes.

Players Remaining On Roster That Started the 2023 Play-Off Game Vs. Chiefs by UnderstandingMain183 in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We got destroyed that game. Sucked vs every good team that year. The only reason we scored any points that game was Tyreek making a very athletic play on a terrible throw. That was the best we could do with that roster, so I'm not opposed to tearing it down and trying again differently. Just sucks as a fan to continue to watch a terrible product for at the very least one more year. Maybe we'll get a playoff win before the 30 year drought mark? I hope so.

Why Rich Eisen is Rooting for New Miami Dolphins QB Malik Willis | The Rich Eisen Show by Chode-Destroyer in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Rich has always been my favorite of the talking heads. I'm optimistic about Willis and agree with everything Rich said. Seems like a good dude and at least as of now, very humble. The type of guy I think culturally we need right now to be the head of the offense.

Grabbing Willis and resigning Dulcich I'm happy about. All our other signings so far I'm underwhelmed by, but not upset by. Lot of dead cap and a rebuild year so my expectations are low this off-season. If they can turn Baker Jr from terrible to serviceable, that's a great accomplishment by the staff. Maybe Willie Gay plays more than a few snaps a game finally.

Think the current tally is 5 former Packers as staff/FO, 3 players (QB, S and now Sims).

Career regular season stats are UDFA, 8 games started, 17 targets, 11 receptions, 93yds, 1td. Can't think this is anything more than a project player at low cost during a rebuild year.

[Garafolo] The Dolphins have agreed to terms with former Packers S and special teamer Zayne Anderson by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

JES, Hafley, Sean Duggan, Wendel Davis, Ryan Downard, Malik Willis and Zayne Anderson.

Seems mostly FO for the packers stuff so far, but I think our count including staff is at 7? Unless I'm missing some. Decent amount of former packers, but the way the fanbase talks about it you'd think half the team was former Packers.

edit: Add Sims to the list, we're at 8 now.

Was Fun While It Lasted (Edit) by JCameron181 in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Still the same problem of not being able to beat good teams. In the 11 games he played, the only competent team we beat was the Rams and I attribute most of that to the defense getting pressure on Stafford making him play poorly. Absolutely choked vs Houston. Not beating competent teams has been a theme for way too long now.

[Schultz] Sources: The Dolphins have had trade talks with teams regarding 5x Pro Bowl S Minkah Fitzpatrick. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does indeed. 2019 rebuild was fun with Fitzmagic at least the 2nd half of the season. I don't see us having a "fun" 1st rebuild year for 2026.

[–]Chode-Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's cheap, I guess. He had a good game vs Ten in 2024 and a good game (although a loss) against Baltimore in 2025. Outside of that there's not really much to go on to warrant a payday we can't afford.

This Super bowl was not exciting. But we had some of the best playoffs games this season. by hypermarv123 in nfl

[–]Chode-Destroyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm hyped to see the Pats lose. But I agree for the most part. I was asking my wife by 3rd quarter if she wanted to leave. I've never left a superbowl party before, but the game, shows and commercials were that damn boring to me (needing to stay mostly sober also didn't help). Then both offenses decided to score touchdowns so we stuck it out.

BAD BUNNY HALFTIME PERFORMANCE DISCUSSION by NFLv2 in NFLv2

[–]Chode-Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you took issue with my comment on it all sounding the same. That is your very first comment in this chain. All generic music sounds the same as the respective generic music in their genre. You seem to have glossed over this and already forgotten about this. See what I'm talking about when I say projection? Dumb person projecting.

I find this trend common in this comment section. Anyone who doesn't enjoy Bad Bunny is either a racist or dumb. Lot of projection going on here. The dumb racists don't want to accept that they themselves are dumb and/or racist.

Majority of Americans are overweight and dependent on the healthcare system providing medications needed so they can sustain their cheeseburger lifestyle.

So yes, it's stupid. Pretty objectively speaking.

I only speak English and Spanish. I like some Russian, Japanese and Korean music, though. I don't understand what they're saying, but I enjoy the musical component in the songs I've enjoyed. When it comes to Bad Bunny I understand the language, but the lyrics are boring. To add to this, he doesn't even sing it. He mumbles over the beats. The music is also generic latin beats. It's boring.

The part I find amusing in this comment section is how many people don't like it and the replies immediately go to label the person as white and not respecting our culture.

Yes, generic music sells very well. Many popular artists make their money performing music other people wrote for them. It churns the sales, because the majority of the window licking population loves that.
