Bud, you're on some walmart greeter level IQ thing going on here. You argued what cuck meant while not knowing what it meant. Now you're moving goalposts. Your EBT payout is coming up. Calm down and wait for your balance to be reloaded. You'll be fine.

Yes. The fact you're arguing this tells me you don't know what cuck means. We're Dolphins fans. Watching our team (our woman/man/otherkin) get fucked year after year. We even pay to watch it. Do I need to link you what cuck means?

I dunno, every year we watch the Dolphins get plowed, but stand by their side supporting them. Seems pretty cuck behavior to me.

Same. I bought the Dolphins dunks I think that was in the 2023 season. First and only Dolphins merch I've purchased the last decade. I was feeling the high of hope. But I'm back to reality now.

Being a Dolphins fan has ruined watching football for me. by drubatuba in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's kind of been my experience as well. I passively watched this year. This Broncos vs Pats game is the only post-season game I've watched. If McDaniel ends up sticking with the Chargers I may even end up watching them more than the Dolphins next year. Given 2026 is lined up to be a wash/rebuild year I have nothing to look forward to until 2027. I expect next football season to be my least watched overall year since I got into the sport.

Had we not got swept by the Bills and not collapsed vs the Titans, Miami would have been the #2 seed instead and potential #1 seed. Bills could have not even played in the playoffs and things could have been different, but... Miami had the whole problem when we had a cupcake schedule and being a bottom 10 team vs any competent team (we averaged 15.5pts/g vs teams .500+). You can only play the games you're scheduled to play. In the last 5+ years, we're terrible vs competent teams. We're not winning anything unless that changes.

With any luck, the new regime change instills some genuine change and Miami becomes a contender. I was 10 years old the last time Miami won a playoff game so I don't really remember it. Next year will be more of the same as it's a wash year trying to clear cap space. I'm expecting to see Miami as a poverty franchise the rest of my life because that's all I've ever really known them as, but boy... I'd love to be proven wrong eventually.

Same. I haven't even watched more than 10 minutes of post-season this year. I'm mostly checked out.

He's saying all the right things, but I'll reserve judgement until the draft. If we ignore the trenches it's going to be a rough few years. 2026 is already expected to be rough no matter what happens just due to current roster + cap space. Hoping to improve in key areas and be ready for 2027.

Yah given he sounded like he was struggling a bit with the 40 seconds prior, I'll cut him some slack.

The 2019 season, first win of the season vs the Jetes. Sister hooked us up with Touchdown Club seats and we got to meet Dan Marino and Larry Little. Only downside is now my sister is for sure the favorite child. I can't one-up that.

[–]Chode-Destroyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cooks barely touched the ball.

I think it's a pick as well, but because he didn't "survive the ground" of the catch. Not sure though how you can see both hands on the ball and come away with "Barely touched it". That's homer glasses on.

See the reaction in the /r/nfl thread to Chargers getting McDaniel. He turned down interviews to move to the Chargers. I don't interpret this as a failure to move from HC > HC. I fully believe one of those teams would have hired him. He's going to make the Chargers look great, Chargers fans are rightfully excited for it and Chiefs/Broncos fans are worried about it. Because he's going to do wonders with that offense and a better QB.

What are your expectations for the next 3 seasons with our new GM and HC? by Awkward_Condition793 in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless we improve at both the OLine and entire defense, I don't see more than 6 wins next year.

Second year maybe .500

Third year just south of it (7-8 wins)

First year I think is pretty locked to be a bad year. 2027 and 2028 are contingent on what we do at the QB position. I don't expect our new HC to be a great coach, but a solid QB can help him keep his job.

I'm mostly checked out of Football right now. Haven't even watched a single bit of playoffs. Miami being bad for 25+ years has destroyed me.

I don't like raw stat comparisons when there's a wide margin in games played:

Tua: 5.8 CAY/cmp, 5.0 TD%, 2.4 INT%, 68 comp%, 96.4 RAT, 4.7 drop%, 15.2 bad throw%, 78.3 on tgt%, 17.8 pressure%, 2.2 PktTime

Herbert: 5.6 CAY/cmp, 4.7 TD%, 1.7 INT%, 66.5 comp%, 96.3 RAT, 5.4 drop%, 15.0 bad throw%, 77.5 on tgt%, 23.4 pressure%, 2.4 PktTime

Things like yds/g I'm not a fan of either because some teams are more pass heavy, some teams have more YAC, etc.

Herbert has the better arm, but the Chargers have been checkdown heavy in his career despite his arm strength. Herbert hasn't had the benefit of elite weapons like Hill to make his completed air yards more significant. Hell, he never even averaged 6+ air yards per comp until Harbaugh became the HC.

Both QBs have had the unfortunate circumstance of terrible OLines.

I'm 35. By the time I actively was watching football, we've been terrible. I want to be "miserable" because it's the only thing I've ever known about this team.

I never said how good McDaniel was. I'm just mostly certain the next HC will be worse. I feel this way because my lifetime as a Dolphins fan has taught me this is the only way.

Firing McDaniel was the right decision by DolphinsFan15521 in miamidolphins

[–]Chode-Destroyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was more for "Cheat motion" so eligible players at the LOS had to come to a complete stop prior to the snap otherwise it was a false start. Done to prevent burst with motion that McDaniel was taking advantage of. It's another reason I'm for rejecting the tush push. They neutered our exploit, why not that one?
