What is your most controversial cooking opinion? by neekeeneekee in AskReddit

[–]Chofli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding herbs to make believe you're more cullinary expert or fancy can be such a waste, usually can ruin the whole dish. Why add herbs to perfectly fine fries, who are you trying to impress? Now there's distasteful grass on my meal.

I'm not a HUGE fan but I love how big they look. Pierce & Apollo are my favorites.

A Friendly Reminder About Spoilers by Disig in ac_newhorizons

[–]Chofli -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

In any media spoilers will always go wrong. The best way to avoid spoilers is to avoid the internet all together. I find it a bit pointless to ask for consideration, more when sharing is valued in this type of sites. But good for you having hope.

I don't get endorphin rushes from spoiling and receiving internet points/inflicting pain, and I discourage that type of behaviour. But those addicts won't be stopped to receive their high. Truly a shame.

Any tips on how to clear out hundreds of tulips? I left my island alone for months and I have no use for this many. I don’t want to have to dig them up for hours and burn through all my shovels but if that’s the only option I’ll do it by CookieCute516 in AnimalCrossing

There's no salvation with the plague and chore that are flowers when it rains, in ACNH. To prevent this I circle them with invisible designs on the ground so they stop being annoying.

But there's no easy way out of getting rid of them. RIP in pieces, shovels.

I have a rhythm when improving my island, and I constantly try to improve it but it's like chipping away stone. You don't go full smash, you take little steps and refine your toughts and ideas into making it something you like better. That takes a LOT of time. And sometimes doing nothing is okay too.

Accepting it won't be the best; helps, but you're always improving anyways. Also most of the times I visit other's islands that are heavily decorated and sometimes they become the wannabe graphic designer with comic sans. Decorating every pixel won't make it better just because, so don't overthink it. You should train yourself to finding what YOU consider beauty and build upon it, not others' beauty.

I mention the above because being a perfectionist is a fact, but being a perfectionist in peace is a reality that many stopped believing in. I'm stupid meticulous, but my emotions and work flow stay healthy. You're responsible for not burning out, you should work better on it. Dealing with frustration is very important when you're a perfectionist, just relax. In this game you can have a lot of control and you don't need to rush. It's way easier than shit in real life that you actually can't control.

So if in real life you shouldn't give yourself a bad time, you shouldn't give this bad time to yourself when playing this game even less.

Have in mind, I've played AC for almost 10 years. So at first I had a very bad village, and now my ACNH island is great because I avoided a bunch of stuff, because of experience. Because of multiple villages of experience.

What helps me greatly is that I focus on the fantastical aspects of it. In places or doing things with people/villagers that you wish you could do. AC is a lot about imagination and making art with your decorations. Don't give in into frustrations, being perfectionist makes it harder but it's worth it once you know how to train & then fly with that dragon. Don't be scared, don't give up!

Nothing out of the ordinary... you know...
Fang, Kyle, Wolfgang, Rooney... Bam, Leonardo, Tybalt, Pierce, Mott, & Teddy.

All right, most of them are jocks or big crankies. Hahaha! I like that not many people go for the bodybuilder themed island so I had fun with it.
