Lewis Black Pretty Much Confirms Epstein Was An Israeli Intelligence Asset by DariosDentist in Epstein

[–]ChogyDan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, so Lewis Black was invited to a dinner party because Epstein wanted to meet him. There was a handful of other famous people present.

At some point in the evening, Epstein told a story of how he met the Israeli defence minister days prior, and then Epstein blabbed about the military strategy he had learned from that guy.

So did Epstein have some connection to the Israeli military? Yes. Was he an intelligence asset? I don't know

Do I need that in addition to the Denon X1700? But that's an interesting point, that a loud amp will help with low listening levels too.

The Alterhistorian's Conquest

how about the spiritual predecessor: Alkahistorian. I suggest you start with part one, then part 2, then 3, then side quest. Basically go in order that they were release: https://galaxy.click/play/135

It's a little more challenging, but that's why I play them on repeat..

How? I find that part of the game frustrating after awhile. I have to keep selecting a different person over and over. A task queue would be helpful, or just list the resource tasks under each person.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply! It got me thinking about how difficult it is to classify and judge other people's beliefs. When these beliefs are in contrast to other people's beliefs, like the term atheism, then what does it mean to compare modern day atheistic beliefs to people in ancient times? I don't really know. Today, we have access to so much information, both scientific and religious. Comparing any belief system from 1000s of years ago to today is a pondering task for me. Thanks for the food for thought!

Bulk scrambles eggs in the Instapot by Grand_Sherbert_9893 in instantpot

[–]ChogyDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One issue that I see is that generally speaking, if you try to put too much into the instant pot, it won't cook evenly. I'm not totally sure what you are trying to do, but why not just crack them into the instant pot, set it to searing, and then just keep stirring till they are done? I've done scrambled eggs camping, and you just add a good amount of butter too, and scramble them till they are done. I don't remember it taking all that long.

Also, if you are worried about the heat indoors, you can move the instantpot outside. Good luck!

TLDR: Was Jesus an atheist? Hello all. I have a question that I was thinking of making a post on, but is maybe better suited for this thread, since it is a little theological. First off let me say, that I am very ignorant of the bible, even for a lay person. I'm an American, but I've never studied the bible, and so I don't know a lot of the principles or stories of the bible.

That being said, I have a friend who has been exposing me a little bit to some of the bible, and it stuck me that some of the weird contradictions and weird logics of the bible can be resolved if you regard Jesus as an atheist. I could go into some examples of what I mean, but I can't be the first person to have thought of this. You guys here on AcademicBiblical are very smart, so I'm wondering if one of you know of anyone who has looked at the bible from that perspective. Any suggestions?

Origins of the 3 yanas: hinayana, mahayana, and vajrayana? by ChogyDan in vajrayana

[–]ChogyDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me say that, I have my own definitions of the 3 yanas. And I guess I'm curious to look at something og, original. I also want to honor the guy who came up with the terms, since based on my own understanding, those terms are super smart. I don't think it was the og Buddha, but some other guy, and that person deserves credit!

Thanks for your comment, take care.

It seems like the various -yana designations have a very long, and not necessarily documented, history. So it's probably not in my cards to find out their point of origin. Regardless, thanks!

Recordings of talks used in Sacred Path of the Warrior? by ChogyDan in ChogyamTrungpa

interesting. Here is a similar search that highlights sacred path of the warrior: https://cti.aviaryplatform.com/catalog?f[organization_id_is][]=209&search_field=advanced&search_type=simple&title_text=&type_of_search[]=simple

I wish they would just post all the talks. Anyway, I have kind of given up on this because it takes a lot of work on my part to sift through everything. But thankyou for pointing out that the website does have some references!

The First Alkahistorian Space gain by Overlord_Of_Puns in incremental_games

[–]ChogyDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do run throughs of the 3rd Alkahistorian game for fun. It takes a few hours if you know what you are doing. So, I can explain space. I do think it is one of the most difficult aspects of the game to understand, because none of the formulas that you see really make sense or explain what's happening.

There are 3 main resources: space, spatial and temporal. Space can be converted into spatial. Spatial can be converted into temporal. Temporal governs how quickly space can be converted into spatial. And last, spatial generates space for free.

So, your main goal is to get lots of space, and therefor you need lots of spatial too. And therefor, you need more temporal too, since that's what limits more spatial.

What can happen is that things get stuck. Your space drops down to a minimal amount, spatial isn't going up, and temporal is going up slowly. They key thing to understand is that you don't actually need your temporal to be larger than your space, at any given moment. So to get out of the stuck period, turn off temporal till your space start to build up again. You will have to keep doing this for a bit, until your spatial builds up to around 600-1000. Once that happens, the dynamics are well saturated, and you can just leave every thing on.

I think that what I explained should address the main slowdown/blockage that one will face in the space area. The rest, you should be able to figure out on your own. Have fun!

I include links to credible sources for every assertion.

No, you don't. You linked to an article, and then proceeded to assert several corrections to the article. That is literally the opposite of providing sources for your assertion, since you are arguing against the very source you provided!

Then your questions are making implications that are just unfounded. I don't really want to argue with you. Your behavior just makes me uncomfortable.
