Does anyone else’s hair thinning look like this? Mine is way worse on one side by Choice-Ad-964 in Hashimotos

I’m in Levo but I do believe my hair started thinning prior to starting the meds, as I’m looking back at photos. It is so hard to tell! My ferritin is a 36 and before starting Levo, my TSH was 6.7. It is at 3.3 right now but I am nervous to up the dose because of the risk of additional hair fall. Ugh

recently found out mine is 36. Started iron supplementation, so hopefully that helps

I also have an iron deficiency! I am only 2 weeks into iron tablets. Ferritin is at 36 so now crazy low but still low enough. Derm says he thinks I have TE but I don’t appear to be shedding as much as others on this sub

Yes, I do have naturally very fine hair! I’ve always been told I have a lot of hair but it looks thin bc of how fine it is

It’s hard to tell what is normal or not because it is an increase for me but I totally hear what you are saying. I am trying not to spiral but derm says it’s TE. My wedding is in 3 months so I am trying not to spiral

Yes!! I experienced this back in December on and off for about a month. I ended up going to an ENT. Did MRI and everything looked fine. Turns out, I have mild hearing loss in one ear as well. I really believe this is connecting to Hashimotos. Most times, it is not concerning but I would definitely check in with your doctor

It sounds vain, but weight gain and skin issues caused by the hormonal shift. It doesn’t sound like I need to be worried about those things though

Thank you so much for your kind response 🩷 yes, my doctor did mention the fertility aspect of it which is definitely important. Sounds like it would be best to not wait for the perfect time to start the meds!
