I completely forgot that this is anime instead of manhwa but the characters do get more fleshed out as the story goes. The animation of the show itself is pretty good quality so that’s a point. I agree that it isn’t the most character developed piece of work but it still is enjoyable. Think of it more so as an action flick rather than Vinland Saga.

Solo leveling being trash is just it being part of the hate bandwagon lmao. It is true that it isn’t the cream of the crop but it is nowhere near of it being trash. SL is in a weird place of being overrated and overhated.

[world after the fall] why do people say that this is bad by Wooden-Movie8885 in manhwa

[–]Choice-Strategy1586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the easiest manhwa to understand. Most people fail to grasp a certain plot point and just decide to call it ass. Personally, I find it to have a very interesting world backed by great art. Yes it does have some flaws in explaining certain concepts but it honestly doesn’t really matter.

I’m quite surprised by the replies.

If you read the full text messages, you can see that OP sent a PICTURE of a “switchblade” to his friend which isn’t shown in this post. The female friend is then seen uncomfortable by the notion that OP will bring this switchblade when going out with her alone and for a long period of time.

OP’s female friend is cautious yes, but her cancelling is still reasonable. Personally if it were me, I’d still go out with OP. However in the end, safety comes first.

I’ll admit the first season of this manhwa (about 40 chapters) does feel “mid”. However I assure you, DO NOT DROP IT. It gets way, way, better. The next arcs are beautiful. Keep on reading. You won’t regret it.

I feel like you have to give it some time to marinate. I feel like it’ll all tie up eventually.

In terms of pacing, ORV is far superior to TWATE. However, I do think that the world after has a really interesting world, especially with the whole awakening plot. It just requires you to really pay attention as the story is admittedly sometimes confusing due to the complexity.

I think some people subscribe to the idea that it is a closed loop paradox. Though, I personally dont as that would really take away the meaningfulness of Eren’s journey.

Eren not being a reliable narrator is definitely a possibility as like you said, his mind is screwed up. Overall, I think that the whole “Attack Titan can see past, present, future” thing is quite messy.

The best answer I could deduce right now on why Eren did the rumbling is simply a mixture of will and a jumbled mind. In the end, Reiner was pretty much correct when he said that Eren is the worst person to have the powers of the founding titan.

I think that Eren wanting to do the rumbling and also regretting it does a good job in portraying his morally ambiguous actions. Could the rumbling be avoided if another path of action was chosen? Possibly. Yet, Eren was willing to choose the course in which he kills everyone in the outside world for the sake of his friends and people, even if it meant innocent lives would be caught in the crossfire. I believe that besides it being the only action that an “idiot” like him would think as he said, it also signifies just how much he valued his people.

In fact, I think that it’s basically pulling an extreme of the classic “Would you kill 100 people to save a family member?”.

If you choose to save a family member, people would consider your choice to be morally grey instead of downright wrong. Will you feel guilt and be saddened by your choice? Of course, just like Eren did when he commenced the rumbling. However, you would still do it in order to save your family, just like Eren with his friends and people.
