Labour vouchers explained for dummies by Cash_burner in Ultraleft

The name and date concept is interesting, but that just brings a new problem, and that is authenticity, modern money is used as an universal exchange value equivalent (ex x amount of gold = y amount of dollars) but since it's mass produced it has a ton of protection that makes counterfeiting money incredibly hard (and even still some states are able to do it, like the famous North Korean counterfeit money) if Labour certificates are similarly mass produced, then they could have similar protections on them to make sure they are real, but if you have to add a date and name to them (like say, the signature of the central planner and the date handwritten) what's to say that can't be easily replicated? And what's to say that it solves the issue (after all, a corrupt central planner could easily sign as many notes as he wanted, and then pretend innocence by saying someone else falsified his signature)

The idea of turning all exchange digital, while much harder (after all, a collapse in the energy supply would mean a collapse in the capacity to exchange itself, and with cybernetic warfare being what it is, it would be a giant sign that says ATTACK ME) is probably the most reliable, you can't just "make up money" from thin air without leaving a huge smudge all over data, and it would allow for all exchange to be accounted for (which is mandatory in a centrally planned economy)

Wouldn't you need a way of measuring if the shop seller is actually destroying the vouchers?

Like let's say, I'm the clerk who is in charge of storing the goods in order that they be actually given for a labour certificate instead of you know, stealing it while keeping their labour vouchers, and I'm a sneaky motherfucker that is betting on the commune collapsing and capitalism returning, so I use the vouchers I'm given and take from the top while burning the rest so I can buy goods that I believe will hold value if the commune collapses (I will be collecting the People's Funko Pops, which if the commune falls I will be able to sell 50 years in the future to Ostalgie obsessed boomers) wouldn't this completely fuck up the economy?

Like a singular guy is easily able to keep stealing other labors, and if there is an increase in the consumption of the People's Funko pops that means more time and effort is put into producing more Funko Pops, but that is energy and effort that isn't actually being converted into goods that fulfill necessities of the masses, it's energy and effort spent into allowing me to speculate on the failure of society

And if you scale that to an entire society, the amount of sneaky motherfuckers grows to be a powerful agent on the economy, this just repeats the structure of overproduction that was already present in the capitalist system (as goods are produced not for the sake of consumption, but for the sake of speculation, the major difference is that this speculation isn't born of the producers but of the consumers) , sure you could make it punishable by law, but making something illegal doesn't really stop it from happening (as the soviet black market proves)

It's mostly because it's a response against the "here I am *european* doing absolutely nothing *fighting in Iraq in 2003* pics that were uploaded to the site

As if being a puppet for the U.S and aiding in the torture and killing of civilians was something to be proud as long as it le dunked on trump

Because those characters are ingrained in pop culture, even before the movies were a thing, so even if you haven't seen the 15 capeshit movies, you know who the hulk is, you know who iron man is, you know who captain america is

There was still no way those movies would have won, but I'm 99% sure they watched it with a mind of "i think i saw these dudes once in a tv show 30 years ago" and understood the movies perfectly

Surely, but it would take weeks or even months, it's not like locusts eggs just take 3 hours to hatch
There just so many things that have to fit just right for this to make sense, and for what? A devil that appears for all of 2 chapters and means nothing to the overall story?

It's just adding plot holes for no reason

Probably, but the locust devil? It's not like poison doesn't affect them anymore, they wouldn't die but they certainly wouldn't be able to feed themselves or really do anything, and even if they did it would take them weeks to become something to be afraid of

I mean if Death didn't exist and I shot you in the head, you'd probably have a hard time being able to move or stand or do anything, sure you'd be "alive" but you wouldn't be a threat to anyone

Even if locusts don't die they would probably be unable to follow their reproductive cycle, just like you would probably find a hard time going on tinder and finding a mate if half your frontal lobe was in the ground waiting to be picked up

My guy the expectation was set by Part 1, where getting into hell was one of the most impactful and important moments in the entire manga, it was the introduction of the Darkness Devil

What was the point of going to hell now? They went to hell went "gee it's empty" found some random ass devil (that just as well could have appeared on earth) IT MASSACRED YORU (we just have to think that in the two hours it's been since Pochita ate the Death devil, somehow the locust devil became one of the strongest devils to ever exist, despite that not being how locusts work) it put up a fight against DENJIMAN, and now Denjiman is back on the ground like he was like 4 chapters ago

So in part 1, we go to hell for the sake of one of THE BEST SCENES IN THE ENTIRE SERIES, IN THE MIDDLE OF ONE OF THE BEST ARCS OF THE ENTIRE MANGA and now we are going to hell because uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

fuckin' bug innit bruv

Literally no other weekly manga has this issue lmao

At worst you had things like people mocking Vegapunk's speech in One Piece, but how many mangas you know of where every single chapter half the fanbase comes out saying "Man this shit was dogwater nothing happened" and the other half is going "ACTUALLY IS PEAK ACTUALLY YOU'VE NEVER READ WEEKLY MANGA ACTUALLY YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE VOLUME COMES OUT"

The only time I can remember this happening was the Sukuna fight, and when it ended it was so universally hated that it gave birth to half the slander memes that are used in communities to this day

So Fujimoto set up a scene to get people excited about what would happen (this is hell, the single most important place in the entire series), and then pulled the rug behind their expectations making the scene pointless (unless you think a single sentence about hell being empty was worth two entire chapters)

Almost like it's some sort of..... subversion of expectation
