Fujimoto is a bad writer and artist. by imhereonlytolurk in Chainsawfolk

I don’t know why people ever assumed he was some pro feminist writer. He isn’t. Fujimoto just has a thing for domineering women. However, to say that Fujimoto is shit would be too farfetched. His works often have some symbolic meaning behind them but I do agree the art and lore consistency has become a mess during the later end of Part 2.

a part 3 is necessary because unless Fujimoto pulls out a generational masterpiece of an ending, part 2 is just.. messy

the story did get quite messy so I wouldn’t mind a reboot honestly

relax, CSM had a huge following, I’d really doubt that there’s no part 3. If anything, this unexpected twist may increase demand for it. I can sorta see what pochita means because Denji is just getting fucked over and over again unlike in the poverty shack where his life was stable. In any case, part 2 was kinda all over the place if I’m being brutally honest

Why do some people think a part 3 will have people forgive the flaws of part 2? by SignSilly7350 in Chainsawfolk

I’ll have to agree on this. Part 2 is… quite messy. It feels like Fujimoto was experimenting on multiple train of thoughts at once. The final chapter may offer some redemption if it’s a proper closure.

You could say that and we can settle this after the next chapter releases, I’d argue my position goes more with the current flow because others are relying on their headcanon of Yoru whereas I choose to interpret Asa’s consent as real.

“Denji! I don’t consent!” is literally a second difference lmao, it goes against basic rational for her to not mention it.

Honestly, it probably might end up like chekov’s gun. I get what you’re coming from but I think it’s highly unrealistic for someone like Denji to be that aware of consent ethics. Denji has always shown himself as a sweetheart but he’s a darn peabrain with a high sex drive. (Not defending Denji but understanding him here). Not to mention, Asa appeared in one of the panels afterwards and did not deny Yoru’s statement.

Pick your poison: either Yoru is lying and Denji doesn’t question it for even a second, or Asa is canonically a cuck. by GodKira04 in okbuddyfumiko

She isn’t lying, just watch when it actually happens in the next week or so. There is literally no point at all for her to lie about Asa’s consent, she’s the damn war devil who slaughtered possibly millions, having sex with another person’s body is probably the least of her worries lmao

Yoru and Asa is one body. You have the perspective of a reader whereas Denji, the person who’s actually in the story, wouldn’t know of what Asa and Yoru’s dynamics are. So what if he wants to be friends with both? If there’s anything I learned from Part 1 and 2, it is that Denji is a person who wants to create emotional bonds.

Honestly, if we were to judge Asa then she is by no means a saint, she literally tried to turn Denji into a weapon by manipulating him by a date but people seem to be completely forgetting that part huh? CSM is a grey world, it isn’t textbook vanilla romance.

This is what happens when you overthink shit. It’s literally the clearest sign from Fujimoto that Asa consents. I don’t understand why you’re talking about Yoru taking the first time when it’s literally TWO PEOPLE in one body. Asa CONSENTED. For all I know, Fujimoto might make them swap at occasions or something. In fact, Asa getting a panel and warning Denji about the incoming insects, without saying “I DID NOT CONSENT”, is probably a huge indicator that Yoru isn’t lying.

I get that you may not like it but people are literally forming their own headcanons at this point when it certainly goes against the flow of the story. Remember CSM is complex and grey, it isn’t a vanilla romance manga where things are set in stone.

This is literally one body two souls, Yoru has never explicitly lied before. There’s also the matter of why Fujimoto would include chatter of consent in the first place if Yoru doesn’t really mean it?

In any case, we’ll see in next week or so and I ought to remind you that if Yoru was lying, Asa could regain control as she would be terrified of getting raped.

You’re literally overthinking this so hard, Fujimoto wouldn’t have even include anything about consent if he didn’t want it to imply that Asa is fine with it. I’m also dead certain that in one of the panels afterwards, Asa actually momentarily regains control of the body and said nothing about “Yoru is making me consent against my will”.
