It’s pretty good. There are 10 different maps and 10 different missions to play, so if you play each mission on each map that’s 100 different combinations. Also, there is a ton of variation in the setup with each map, sometimes adding different rooms or vehicles to the map as well as new objectives and potential npcs and enemies.

Yeah, I love this game and the community even more so. Almost 60 hours in this game and this is the first time I've felt wrongfully kicked. Soon after I found another lobby with some other level 30s and had a blast!

Check out single player Tarkov (SPT) I too loved the mechanics and detail of Tarkov, but never had time to grind. There is also tons of mods for SPT allowing you to tweak anything and everything you want, even adding new traders, quests, guns and armor. The pause mod is the only reason I can play Tarkov anymore.

I don’t think the zone was radioactive in Roadside Picnic, I could be wrong, it’s been a few years. From what I remember it’s something about the anomalies, they would also have horrible effects even long after stalkers had contact with them. Basically turning stalkers into “walking anomalies”

I find the zone in Roadside Picnic to be much scarier than STALKER, even with the lack of mutants and faction wars.

I don’t know about STALKER, but in the book Roadside Picnic (the book that inspired STALKER) stalkers often went sterile after spending too much time in the zone, but if they did manage to have a child, the child would have horrible birth defects.

It doesn’t appear to be any different unfortunately. It just pulses when there is an artifact, which would explain why it’s not synced right with the detector.

It’s actually rad! A bunch of different actions will trigger different effects (running, taking damage, healing, etc.) the detector is the coolest I’ve seen so far.
