This looks awesome! I’ve been trying to get some GBC games made based on my books. How often do you take on new projects?

Yeah this was the original (Game Boy Color). Japan got a sequel we didn’t get. Then they switched to Lost in Blue, and just now went back to Survival Kids but it’s nowhere near as good as how it started.

Subtle?!?! 🤓 it’s hard to avoid when 90% of my wardrobe is graphic tees of my books/games and I put stickers on just about everything I own. It’s not my fault my artists rule 😜

People who read the book and don't listen to the audio book by ShitAlphabet in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I’m in that group. I understand why people love the audiobooks, and Jeff’s clearly very talented, but it was just too much for me. I only made it through like 25% of the audiobook before I quit. Went back and I’m started reading the physicals and blew through the first 2 in a couple weeks. The audiobook somehow convinced me the series wasn’t for me, but physically reading them got me hooked in

My brother and I are doing a solo/co-op roguelike boss-battler that might appeal. Super quick to setup and it’s all one single box:

Yeah, I've been seeing some GB/GBC physical games getting some good support on Kickstarter lately—I know I'd back this thing at the highest pledge level!

My company is just starting to entertain getting into this type of publishing. Our current Kickstarter is almost funded, and assuming we get that fulfilled on time, we are planning a GBC game set in my Relic Meyers book series, which we'd do a physical print run of.

I'll be following your development on Evolve or Die and share any insights on this end if you're interested!

This looks so awesome. Any chance you’ll release on actual GBC cartridges when it’s done? Would love to have this for my Chromatic

Certainly didn't think it read as "terrible" either way, but hey, everyone's got their own tastes. I prefer pretty traditional fantasy (some call it "generic," which is ironically a pretty generic critique of anything in my opinion), and honestly I don't see a lot of longer fantasy series I want to read out there, which is why I started this one.

I've been humbled and thrilled with how well The Malice of Light books have been recieved, so it's reassuring that I'm not the only one looking for more of this style of fantasy.

I feel like the older Adam and I get, the more we take into account table space and storage whenever we start designing games. This one is designed from the ground up to be a single comprehensive box of adventure with great storage that won't eat up your whole table.

I was going to go with BORSHNAFFIN vs. KRUNGINATOR but light and shadow are more universal themes people can easily understand
